She looked so pretty, trussed up as she was; her wrists were shackled to a chain above her head, her bare arms straining as they supported her weight unwillingly. Her clothing was simple peasants’ fare, cloth tunic and trouser that hung loosely upon her body. The platform beneath her was high enough for her to just barely kneel, nothing more. Chains around her ankles prevented her from standing, although once he was done with her, they would not be needed. She would either kneel willingly, or be given no choice in the matter whatsoever; once he was through she would have no strength to defy him
