It is more Lacroix's doing than my own. I am accustomed to more lavish gatherings.

Most such gatherings are political. Just as this one is.

I've got nothing to offer, so unless someone wants to make a fat donation to help run the school, I'm just going to enjoy wearing the tuxedo.

You should be certain to mention that to the people you speak with tonight. These are many of the City's influential and powerful, after all.

We'll see. I don't like having someone thinking they have influence over the school though. And this place smells so much of intrigue... it's fun to people watch, their expression say one thing but their scent another.
