Comment to this post, and I will list five things I associate with you.
They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that
list, with your commentary, to your LJ (or just add a reply back to me).
Other people (including me) can get lists from you, and the meme
merrily perpetuates itself.
My words from
sweeny_todd were
- Brisbane
I find the compromise between the things you can only find in the big city and all the downsides that so many people in one place brings. Seem to balance out here ok. I'd only consider going back to Sydney if I could afford to live right in the heart of the city.
- Coffee
Oh my yes, Coffee. My poison of choice, even more than alcohol. I've always been picky about where I bought my coffee in the city, now it's a french press at home. Thinking about getting an espresso pot again though.
- Internets
I've always liked visualizing the links and routers that form the internet in my mind, my fortune have been linked to the success of the internet in some way since 1998? 1999? Even more so now that I'm in business of pimping my networking skills out.
- picnics
My little escapes from city are always with some nice food in the esky and finding a nice spot to let the kids explore. Be it a creek or a park etc.
- MIA
Well yeah, have been MIA for some time. Hell it has taken me a month to follow up on this meme. I'll be curious to see if this changes now that I am working from home more. My son certainly has seen more of me. I've ridden with him to school and back on a couple of times now and spent way more time playing with him.
My words from
serenia were
- Anime
I've always leaned towards anime that examined what it means to be human as technology advanced or how technology could alter the society it resides in. That and ones that told it's story well, such as Miyazaki.
- Devils
I've often taken the devil iconography as an avatar or such. There is something so enjoyable about leading others into temptation ;)
- Ipswich
I've certainly settled into Ipswich well enough, though there are times where I don't feel like I fit in with a majority of the population here. Not enough bogan in me I guess. That being said my kind of culture has started to form here. New cafe's in the CBD, the art gallery does a great job. Doubly so as it is in the shadow of GOMA and the State art galleries.
- Computers
Computers and the internet the two have been intertwined since almost the beginning for me.
- Cooking
I have missy to thank for my cooking skills, prior to her I would have to follow a recipie by the book. I couldn't riff off it and work out ways to alter it to better suit my tastes or what I happen to have in the kitchen at the time. I don't make bread nearly often enough, mostly due to the bench space it needs and the mess it makes.
So thank you both to
serenia and
sweeny_todd for their patience.
