Harry Potter: strangely empty

Jul 23, 2007 14:56

Because we grew up with this. I didn't get to reading Philosopher's Stone until I was about 11, which would be 1999. So I was sort of two years late, but it was ok, because it meant that for a while, my school years coincided with Harry's. When I go to the movies I realise the extent to which this is a part of my life: everyone is the same age as me. I just want to keep going up to people and saying: you too! And you! You too! But now it is finally over (movies still to come, but they aren't the same). I'm going to miss staying up all night, and ranting to my friends all the next day. It was so very exciting, but now it is done.
