Worker Productivity Report, Part 2:
We are pleased to announce that worker productivity is up 98% since moving from the couch to the table. Also, people being online is no longer a factor in time management, and the introduction of tea into the system has proved very successful, from the perspective of both urine and word output. Our firm would recommend a continuation of the tea strategy if the deadline is going to be met. For greatest productivity, employee interface with live journal should be terminated until further notice. This is of the utmost importance. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.
3,800 words by 3 tomorrow. No sleep 'til... Brooklyn!
I can't believe I didn't think of sitting at a table until now. Seriously. It has made SO much difference. I've been working from the couch all year. Idiot.
Strategy - work on archaeology at night so I don't get scared, and also because I'm almost done with the film one. Just need to talk about vaginas and mirrors a bit more and that one is sorted. Archaeology is going okay as long as I read it aloud while I'm writing. I'm just getting a bit fuzzy-headed. MORE TEA! Maybe I should go with something a bit more brawny than Moroccan mint with green tea... :P
Edit: AAAGH! It's 3AM! What the hell happened to 12, 1, and 2??? Oh well. I've been going along at a pretty good clip. I'm TRYING to get it done in rough draft form before sleeptime (aka 6AM or whenever I crash), but who knows if that will happen? And I still have a bit to write on the other one. I think sleeptime might end up being a brisk three hour nap. More tea. That's what I need. But it's starting to taste like liquid marijuana now, which is a little disturbing. American Beauty soundtrack = very good essay writing music.
