Good News

So as I was reading the news on WWMT's website, I came across this article...it provided some uplifting news for me in the next year. Wouldn't that be something if I could just slip into Three Rivers schools. That would be nice. You know, my luck I would get a job teaching 2nd grade and guess who would be a student in my class...Kobe. But it is still a ways away and I do not want to get my hopes up.

School bonds approved in Three Rivers

September 26, 2004 - 10:26AM THREE RIVERS (NEWS 3) - Voters in Three Rivers decided the fate of some elementary school buildings Saturday.

Voters approved a $20.6 million bond issue that will increase taxes by 2.72 mills. The vote was 855 to 714 in favor of the plan. Six elementary schools will be consolidated into four and a total of nine classrooms will be added. Damage to the buildings will be repaired as well.

The project is set to begin in the summer of 2005.

In other news...it was a great weekend today. I got to see Marci for the second time in like 2 or 3 months. That is completely unheard of practically. And hopefully I will be able to go to NJ or DC to see her in December. I don't think I have seen her so much in one year...besides when she lived here! Anyways, we had a great time and it was great to see Jenny...I think it has probably been 3 or 4 years. I just love being around Marci's family. Last night I went to her grandparents house where here aunts, uncles, and cousins were there to celebrate birthdays and they just all make me feel like I am part of their family. It makes a gal feel special. Last night Marci and I went to see Wimbeldon. Really good movie...I knew I loved tennis. It was so funny because we starting thinking we were actually watching a tennis match. A lot of ooo's and aaaahhh's going on. Later we went back to the hotel they were staying in and there was a crazy party going on. They were so freakin loud. Screaming at the top of their lungs, slamming doors, and probably lots of alcohol.

Today, I had to help my mom wash windows...that was the highlight of my day. (There is quite a bit of sarcasm in that sentence!) Now, I am just chillin like a villian for the rest of the day! Sounds good to me!
