OA Conclave 2005 went well. My ceremonies team came in first, and I won best interpretation of the part I played. The hosting lodge screwed us with the farthest campsite, apparently they forgot that our lodge is hosting next year, and I am Conclave Coordinator for next year. For the record, Chippanyonk Lodge will be camping in the farthest campsite from EVERYTHING at next year's Conclave at Wah-Tut-Cah Scout Reservation.
I have also been talking with Bobby Garrahan, my friend and the Lodge Chief Elect, about reviving the Wah-Tut-Cah Braves, a former camp secret society/fraternity of sorts which has been dead for over 50 years. Now Bobby says he's brought it up before with Brian Labao, one of the higher ups in the Lodge and our council's support structure, and Brian wants us to fix up the Lodge before we start new projects, but I think even if we just use the name for my staff and possibly create an identifying patch (I'm also pushing for the revival of the Scout beret) it would make a big impression on those who come to Conclave.

Now I'm sure none of you cared about the gibberish above, but I just thought I'd make a record of it. I promise it really is exciting stuff. At any rate, my weekend was cool, and we stole some stuff and pissed of the assholes in charge, to say the least. I'm back, and next weekend is the LAST in my 4-weekend marathon of Scout/Order of the Arrow related engagements for a while.
