Yeah, I know, this was aired two months ago. It was going to be too many tweets to get out my reactions to this, so I'm posting to my journal for the first time in who knows how long?
Maybe I'm just in a really good mood, but I loved the first episode from start to finish.
Jiko's solo was amazeballs. Even if some of the choreography was repetitive. I also appreciate that this was a V6 song. Because Miyaken.
Whoever invented this tsukkomi challenge with the monoboke is a genius. And a hundred points to the kanjus for making the boke part too ridiculous to cope with.
And, oh yeah, how did I not notice that Jo was so short before watching this episode?
I would make this smaller, but I don't know how to do that in this new editor.
I love how shows nearly always put the red xy in Sexy Zone. (I would have made them red, but I don't know how to do that in this new editor.) I think the weirdest place I saw it was at Kouhaku or something. I can't remember which show it was, but the credits were all normal except for the xy and correct capitalisation for Hey! Say! JUMP.
Onishi's request here was evil. But Shori did pretty well.
Kenty is on fire during his Ai LOVE Kouza. And I appreciate that he brought Non-chan along so they both wore white and glasses.
The Kanjus' inability to look at the camera is cute. And Kento makes a face partway through Daigo's turn that was just hilarious.
I always appreciate when people do the Q opposite from Totsuka Shota. Good work Muro-kun.
Nishimura Takuya is my new favourite Kanju I hadn't noticed/heard of before today.
Honourable mentions go to Furukawa Tarou for playing the harmonica and Yamamoto Ryuki for bringing a fidget spinner.
Other highlights:
- The chibiko Kanjus during the opening talk don't seem to realise that everyone can see them and that they are not backstage. They're all just stretching and chatting.
- It's always fun to see Daigo do Arashi because of his epic love for Nino.
- Shigeoka Daiki needs to introduce all these kids to his dermatologist.
- Also, he seemed extra genki. I dunno. I'm liking ShigeDai more these days since watching him in their Netflix show for some reason.
