VANCOUVER BELTANE RITUAL 2005

SUNDAY MAY 1ST @ THE FAERY MOUND
Meet at 7pm, Ritual start at 7:30, Rain or Shine.
Thou art Wild
Thou art Free
Don't be afraid to Dance with a Tree...

In the radiant light of springtime twilight join us in the woods over the sea for a mystical mingling carnival with the wild. Dance and drum on the edge of mystery, make offerings to the mysterious ones, gaze into the silvery night for a glimpse of the unknowable inside, drink the witches brew and whispered secrets will come to you.
This Beltane we invite you to join in the ritual where participants are encouraged to be spontaneous in creating mystical connections to the wild. We shall dine on finger foods, play music, dance with the trees, make wishes and blessings and a few surprizes too, in sacred space. Dress in sparkles and finery for mystical mingling mode.

Perhaps there's something wild waiting in you for this mayday night?

To Bring:

-A biodegradeable offering to the Fey.
-Blanket or chair for sitting.
-Finger foods to share.
-Warm, sparkly, weather durable clothing.
-Flashlight to find your way home.
-Light Musical instruments.

Directions:

Unfortunately there is no Public Transit to this area. If you need a ride please post here and hopefully some kind vehicled soul will scoop you up.
The Faery Mound is in Pacific Spirit Park, Just past Jericho Beach. Drive along MW Marine Drive past almost all of the parking lots along the beach. Pass the last concession stand on your right and turn into the next lot with GREEN BALLOONS tied to the sign. The parking lot is across from the Protected Salmon Stream on the left, where our trail begins. Follow the trail to the right of the information board (the only trail) up hill for 100 meters and turn at the first wooden gate on your right, follow the green balloons from there. Not wheelchair accessible. If you need more info please post here.

....and a river of green is flowing unseen beneath the trees,
laughing as it dances through the endless summer reaching for the sea...
