I almost saw Natasha Beddingfield today. It's just as well I didn't see her, because I wouldn't have recognized her anyway. I've heard her music, but I don't know what she looks like.
Josh and I were walking along Charles Street in Beacon Hill today, and decided to stop in a cute little chocolate shop. After looking at the exorbitantly priced but delicious-looking chocolates and sparkly vintage boxes for a while, we started chatting with the woman behind the counter.
She told us that Natasha Beddingfield had just left before we arrived. Natasha even gave the woman a free ticket to her concert tonight. And the woman said that, when Josh and I first walked in, she thought we were Natasha's entourage, because we "looked European"!
:)
We had a full fun day of exploring, including a walk around Savin Hill (part of Dorchester). We wandered up and down Dot Ave, found both bubble tea and shelter from a surprise downpour in a Vietnamese market, and then walked around a gorgeous neighborhood full of Victorian houses and trees. I'd known there were nice Victorians somewhere in Dorchester, and was glad to have found them.
We also found, on a random residential street, an amazing view of the Boston skyline--both the Back Bay and downtown! And then we came across a park which afforded us another beautiful view, of Dorchester Bay. It was a really pretty park, and I had fun climbing up the rocks to get to the top.
At night, I went to the MIT contra dance, which was much more fun than usual due to an influx of Concord dancers. All in all, it was a fabulous Bostonlicious day.
