Most of the time “no pain, no gain” leads to triumphant strength gains. Sometimes it means I have trouble getting out of bed the next morning. These last couple of days have been particularly educational; the literal act of getting out of bed takes planning. It’s not the first time; if the past is any standard by which to judge, I’ll be fine by the weekend. Odd as it may sound, I’m avoiding my “comfy” chairs because the cushions absorb too much of the strength I’m using to push myself back up to my feet. Nothing like adversity to remind you of the importance of good mornings.
