Well, whaddya know...
So I was called into my manager Audrea's office yesterday, along with the Asst. Manager David. They're both standing there looking at me, and I guess my facial expression said it all because she started it off with, "Don't worry, it's a good thing." As of yesterday, I am officially the Associate Manager of the Earl May location in Lawrence. What exactly does that mean, you ask? Well, it means that I am officially a full time employee, not just working the hours but getting the credit for it too. In a little while I will start accruing vacation hours and soon I will be getting a benefits package. They had been given the go ahead for it about a week ago, but waited until they could both be there to tell me. I got hugs from both (big surprise was David's) and she made me a certificate with a huge smiley face on it to hang under the Certification certificate next to the desk. Oh yeah, and a 50 cent raise to boot. It's awesome. I've worked with these two wonderful people for a little over 5 months and I already feel more appreciated than I ever did in the previous 5 years. Amazing.
