Tali was stunned at what she had found. She would have never believed that in a million years that Shepard would betray her like this, and yet here he was; naked, sweaty and relentlessly pounding into Liara from behind as she screamed his name and he shouted how Liara was better than her.
And the worst part was, she could not turn away, nor could she deny the heat building between her legs as she watched the two go at it.
She wondered how it had come to this. Everything had been so perfect.
Shepard, the man she had always nursed a rather large crush n had suddenly turned up, alove, two years after dying. When she had seen him on Freedom's Progress she had been overjoyed. And her subsequent reunion on Haestrom, combined with her joining his crew had brought the two of them closer than they had ever been.
After Liara, whom she knew Shepard had been involved with in the past, had rebuffed his advances, the two of them had begun a slow, but tender romance. And while her immune system and suit had proven to be barriers to physical intimacy, she had always thought that their emotional bond had been able to supplement the lack of physicality.
However, things began to fall apart when Shepard had come across some information, courtesy of Cerberus. After presenting it to Liara, Tali had joined the two of them in their quest to find possibly the most dangerous individual in the galaxy. At first, it had been lovely, just like old times. But she could not deny the incredible chemistry between the two former lovers. Their witty combat banter, their inside jokes, their casual flirting.
The embrace she had found the two of them in after she woke up after being knocked unconscious by a desk to her face.
After that the two of them had began to talk to each other quite a bit more. But it had never been in excess, or so she had thought.
Seeing them now, she wondered if they had hidden the bulk of their correspondence, if she had been that naive, or if she had simply deceived herself.
