Back on track! Sorry for the delay.
Li straightened out and dusted off his outfit as he walked up to the suite door. The buzzer had rang just a few moments earlier, and he was taking a few seconds to make sure he looked presentable before he answered it. He wasn't wearing anything super dressy; just one of his better, clean jumpsuits. Nothing special. After all, he'd told her to dress casual when he'd sent her the invite to let her know everything was ready to go.
But it was only now that he had gotten up here that he became keenly aware of how out of place they'd look among the opulence of the hotel's presidential suite. He had known his buddy would come through for him, but he hadn't expected this much. The entire suite was bigger than some houses, and made his apartment look like a closet by comparison. Actually, he was pretty sure there literally was a closet in here somewhere that was bigger than his own place. He just shrugged as he tapped the door control. Not like they were doing this for the decor anyway.
The door slide aside, and revealed Commander Shepard on the other side. This was the first time Li had seen her without her armor on, and she looked so good he had to keep his jaw and mandibles from dropping. She was wearing the standard navy blue utility fatigues that Alliance military personnel were issued, and they fit her body like a glove. And what a body it was. Toned and athletic where it counted, but curvy and feminine in all the right places. She gave him a coy little smile, flipping a lock of her closely cut hair out of her eyes.
"...Gonna invite me in handsome?"
Li shook his head rapidly and dragged his mind back into reality, stepping aside and smiling apologetically. "Right. Come on in." He gestured inside with a long, sweeping motion of his arm. Shepard walked inside, and Li got his first view of her unarmored rear as she sauntered past him.

He closed the door and followed her inside. He wasn't surprised to see her walk right up to the bay of windows looking out onto the fearsome blizzard blowing outside. The view had been the first thing Li had been drawn to as well when he'd arrived in the suite. It was probably even better when you could see more than a foot ahead. But just watching the wind and snow blow from a comfortable distance was oddly calming.
Shepard turned around as Li approached, taking in more of the apartment and nodding in approval. "Ok. Gotta admit, this place is incredible. Probably bigger than my ship for god's sake." She snorted and smirked at Li. "That 'friend' of yours must have really owed you bad if he let you use this place just to tap some Alliance marine's ass."
Li just laughed. He was digging that sense of humor she had. He found funny girls often were the best in bed. "Yeah, he surprised me too. Really came through for me." He shrugged. "Of course, it could be a plot to get me in debt to him. You can never tell on this planet; all sorts of wheeling and dealing. Can be a real headache to deal with if you're a no-bs person like me."
Shepard sighed and shook her head, walking over to one of the sitting room's expensive looking couches and flopping down on it unceremoniously. "I don't know how you deal with it on a day to day basis."
Li shrugged again as he bent over by a stylish looking cabinet, opening it to reveal it was actually a mini-fridge. "Booze helps." To punctuate that point, he pulled out two six-packs of beer- one dextro, one levo -shutting the door with his foot. "And by the way, you're not just some 'Alliance marine ass.' You're 'first human Spectre ass.' Don't sell yourself short kid."
Shepard laughed again. "You sure know how to flatter a girl" she responded sarcastically, but playfully. Li sat down beside her with the beer, handing her a bottle and grabbing one for himself.
"You know it babe." He tore the cap off with his teeth, spitting it out and causing it to ricochet against the window. He turned back to her with a proud look on his face and clinked his bottle against hers. "Now let's get wasted."
