OP! here.

Shanxi happened a bit into the war, after humans had already engaged turians. In all likelihood, humans wouldn't be able to understand, but would have also been taking turian weapon/bodies etc for research. I don't see any reason why they couldn't snag omnitools from dead/captured turians and be working on the tech. It’s what I’d do if I was running the war.

Maybe Hannah might be test-driving a translator. Primitive, not fully functional, or maybe it doesn’t work at all. But perhaps Sparatus gives her a hand down the line - no matter how hot she finds the growls, trill and whistles (and I’ll say that idea sounds pretty damn hot to me too!), he wants/needs to be able to communicate with her at some point.

I mean, considering that physical attraction wouldn't likely be high, they have to be able to communicate at some level at some point. Also, considering Hannah sees turians as enemies, growls probably would be high on the threat list - she isn't yet properly converted like we are. :P

But that’s all just a thought. I think it would be really cool if you pulled off the one-sided understanding and totally support that idea too! :D

The argument for attraction can always be made that Asari aren't the much different than humans in regard to build, complete with two eyes, fleshy features, and ten fingers and ten toes. Why couldn't there be one-sided attraction, at least from the Turian's stand point? Also, don't Quarian's have hair? Both have been known to take Turian mates...

Just something in my head, not arguing or anything, but it always comes up when I read something about how baffling Turians find X, Y, or Z about human features. Wouldn't they be better prepared to deal with cross-species intercourse than humans, simply because the Asari have been around forever?

I'm curious what other people think about this, and looking forward to any fills for this prompt. OM nom nom.

OP. I actually meant attraction on the human's part. Hannah might not find a turian all that handsome. I totally agree with the asari thing, actually. I too always found it odd turains seemed so confused about certain human aspects when we know they have dated asari.
