N7 Fury anyone? I unlocked her like, three days ago and was pretty terribad at first until I took away her SMG and made her cooldown like two seconds. Not really sure if that's a great tactic but w/e - I got a lot better after that.
She's generally a point-blank character, but really really destructive if used right. One of the biggest tricks is getting used to timing Annihilation Field so you keep it running. And yes, always always have cooldowns at 200%. Shooting is a distant second choice for her. You can play an entire match without firing a shot. If you have it, I recommend the Acolyte. It's a bit odd, but it strips shields like a mofo, which is what you need, and is light

Yeah, I was switching between the Acolyte (which is odd like you said) and the Arc Pistol to see what I like better. I think I'll stick with shield-stripping, lol.
I think Annihilation Field was the biggest learning curve for me, what with getting the timing right and getting it to explode on mobs and such. She has a bunch of levels to get still, so I have yet to max anything out and was undecided on what to max. I like to keep a distance so Dark Channel has come in useful a lot (I have it higher-specced than Throw right now). But I'll keep the rest in mind :) Thanks!
(I unlocked the N7 Slayer 2 weeks ago I think? And was happy to find out the Fury's 'dodging' is pretty much the same, and I use it a lot considering how squishy they both are.)
Thoughts/tactics for the turian ghost? I've already noticed he's stacked much more toward ARs and shock attacks than standing in the back and sniping. He also seems like a pretty mobile tank.
I basically pop a Special Ops pack whenever my shields break. I like him with the Phaeston. Cloak, shoot. Or hell, Overload, shoot. As someone who can't snipe, I love the Ghost.
Got this guy last night after my 'last' game for the night, which is how these things go. I specced 6/6/4/5/4 - with AR dmg on the tac cloak, dmg/stun/chain on overload and played a few games. As good as overload is, its hard to not want to use cloak all the time every time when specced this way and I found it hard to find times to use overload in a manner I felt was better or more useful. I felt like overload was very situational, and not in a good way, so as heretical as it sounds I might drop it.
The mobility is amazing as the stim packs are very nice as well, could be one of the best tanks in the game with the combination of the two.
Was using a Saber last night but am going to try it with the Rev, Harrier and Particle rifle to see which feels best.
Is anyone else enjoying the Geth Trooper as much as I am?
This is my current build for him and so far it's worked really well for me. On Silver, have yet to take him to Gold. :[ I run him with the geth plasma shotgun and typically shoot first to stagger, then light 'em up so they get staggered again haha. Sure he's still kinda flimsy, but imo if you're aware of your surroundings and at least stand behind a pillar/wall there isn't much difficulty fighting close range like he's intended to.
I am loving the geth trooper so far. I've used him on bronze to test, and silver (I don't play gold, too much stress, haha!). He's fairly awesome! I'm uisng the full HM + shield damage build, with a Falcon for stagger. He's not as tanky as he could be (soft cover FTW!), but I still lubs him ^^
