I hate it how the game just *assumes* we like certain characters. It would have been nice it they'd based it on who you took most often on missions in ME3 + whoever Shep's love interest was. As much as some people dislike the whole love/hate affection meter in DA:O and friend/rival thing in DA2 I at least felt I had some measure of control over the Warden/Hawke's relationships.
+ Garrus to me would have made more sense than showing Liara because I've always gotten the impression that Garrus is the most popular squad member of the series but I guess it's possible that Garrus is dead whereas Liara has her magical plot armor. I like Liara but impossible for me to adore her the way some people do because of the way Bioware constantly shoves her down our throats.
I romanced Ash and Kaidan so luckily I always get them but seriously I couldn't believe it when I heard that ME2 love interests completely got shafted in the ending, even team dextro. That being said, seeing Ashley and Kaidan felt like another stab in the heart to me when I was playing because I knew Shep wasn't coming back to them...ASDFJAKLSDJFKLASDJFDKS Shepard you told Ash you were going to get it done and come back home!
