Someone's probably posted this already, but Mac Walters has commented on the fate of the people on the Citadel when the Reapers came for it:

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER (stop reading if u don't a SPOILER) : Some escaped before the arms were closed. But for many... Bad times.

They were sacrificed on the Almighty Altar of Grimdark.

I read this in Fenris' voice, and it made me giggle.

Every time I see "grimdark" I think Warhammer 40,000. And in this particular context, all I can say is, "Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!"

...Yeah, I'm going to hell.

You're not alone in that thought.
"In the Grimdark Future of the 41st milliennium 22nd Century...there is only WAR!"

Ugh, strangely enough that hits me HARD. I fucking love the Citadel. It really shined as the perfect example of the sort of 'unity and tolerance, why can't we get along' ideal that ME had going for it all along. Then to have it used as a tool of destruction, all the innocent people who lived there (not to mention all the refugees hiding there omfg) in the end crushed me. .___.

Bailey... Kolyat... even the Council... so many characters we knew and cared about... 8(

Yeah. It seems like he's saying that 95% of the galaxy's survivors are now stuck in Sol for the rest of eternity.

And there were THIRTEEN MILLION people on the Citadel, not including keepers, who don't count anyway, the creepy little indoctrinated bugs. I mean... geez...

I don't care, it is my head canon that Kolyat lives. I don't know maybe he left after Thane died and before the Reapers came or was lucky. He's alive as far as I'm concerned.

Yes! I was shocked! When the Prothean AI first said the Catalyst was the Citadel I was like, "Yay, everything's coming full circle!" But then when you actually get there and it's wrecked and full of corpses... :(

Good thing I went running around to grab what people on the Citadel wanted. I definately made a difference there....

Ugh, yeah, that just adds to the "WHAT'S THE POINT" feeling. Why bother helping all these people there if it means jack shit to them in the end? ._.

I was thinking, Why the hell did I save Kolyat if he was just going to turn into some goo later on by Reapers or Bailey! We just saved him from Cerberus...all for nothing. All a wasted time. Everyone dies in the end no matter what you did! THAT IS NOT GOOD STORYTELLING.
