Which race would you choose?
I'm still new to this community, so I'm not sure if this subject has been brought up yet. I checked through the tags that I thought would be appropriate and didn't see any sign of it, so here goes:
I you weren't allowed to play as a human in the Mass Effect series, which species would you choose to be and why? What if you weren't going to be Commander Shepard, would that change your choice at all?
Personally I'm really interested in the history behind the Quarians, but in the end I'd probably choose to be an Asari. They really seem to be a strong and confident species, and I'm really interested in how they breed. I like the idea of how it truly is a mixing of genes between you and your partner, you can be the mother OR the father, and it can be with practically any species or gender. I also enjoy the idea of living 1,000 years and accumulating all sorts of life experiences and going through the evolution of the different phases in your life that humans have condensed to a very short span of time. It would give you lots of time to re-invent yourself multiple times. Fascinated by the Ardat-Yakshi, as well.
I personally find Liara to be creepy and invasive, but all of the other Asari seem to be pretty cool :P
