With only a few weeks until Mass Effect 3, and limited free time since classes started, this weekend I decided to start an ME2 game where I planned to romance Jack.

It is. If you kill the human romance the game assumes you're romancing Liara and you end up with her.

You can kill both romances and end up forever alone. You just bugged your game

Someone told me that only happens if you don't have the 'I'm not into you' speech with Liara before the VS dies.

...I don't know if that's the case, but I'm doing something similar to the OP so I'll see if I get the same 'glitch'.

It's a "Galaxies"-specific glitch - it will put the picture of whoever you killed on Virmire on your desk.

But Joanna would have Ash's picture too, then, not Kaidan's.
