In 2010, from Jan to March we didn't get a lot of snow mostly because we'd had a great snowstorm around Christmas that dumped quite a bit of snow on the ground (I have a pic somewhere)and Jesse and I went on our vacation to Mexico that was fun, a bit cold and definitely a new experience except for driving out of Nebraska and driving back.
Most of 2010 from Oct to Dec we didn't get a lot of snow again...maybe an inch or 2 at most before Christmas that quickly melted away once the temp got above 40. And then finally....finally today we actually are seeing snow! I'd surmise we have almost 2 inches out there right now and the area's expected to get up to 12 inches total with this system. Makes me happy since we leave for our honeymoon on the 15th! I would rather have the snow now instead of on Fri or Sat when we leave for our 7 day cruise to the southern Caribbean. :D
In other news, we ended up having to get our bathroom floor redone because we had a leak from the toilet and the sink that grew some mold under the stick on tiles the previous owners had put in. I wish they'd done ceramic tiling instead, then we would have just had to replace the seal on the toilet and fix the sink, but nooo they were too cheap to do that! I am proud to say we hired someone to do it and got a beautiful ceramic tiling and a semi-dark grout and outside of the grout drying to quickly in spots, my bathroom floor looks beautiful.
We're also going to repaint the bedroom, office and I'm thinking the hallways between the living room/bathroom and living room/dinning room as well. It'll give me something to do on the days off from school and the weekends since I'm not working so much right now.
I might also do some stencil work or decorative work of some type, but not sure yet...once we get the main paint color's figured out we'll work on decorative stuff. I might just use the white color of the dining room and do something with the paints too.
Well, off to do some algebra homework and goof off until dinner time.
