Blargh. I'm so sick and tired of pagans being like GHLS;JFLDKDJL CHRISTIANZ THE HORROR! I mean I completely understand why, but at the same time they seem to be blowing things out of proportion and looking for circumstances in which they should be pissed off. Not to mention about 50% (if not more) of these happenings are based on ignorance of Christians. And then there's this "Burning Times" thing. So? Pagans have done things like that to others for centuries, not to say that that wasn't heinous by any means, but pagans did do human sacrifice (so the Kathy Lee thing about "nasty pagans" was probably based on that... & past tense). And then the Greeks, even Jews, promoted the persecution of Christians. And Christians aren't bitter about that.
Another thing to add however is that I have had little personal experience with such intolerance. But I also think little of it. People like that are simply a waste to worry over. I don't need more ignorant people to waste my time. My mother is not necessarily against or averse to what I am, or what she suspects I am. They're just worried about our immortal souls, and they're lacking massive amounts of information, so you cannot entirely blame them can you? So don't act in outrage, simply point out what they are missing. Don't immediately go to counter-attack.
I have much more to say but I shall save that for later...
