Just watched it. Awesome. Christian Bale, Hamlet & Nordic tales = 3 things I love very much. I thought it was amazing, and Bale played the antic disposition perfectly. He has a habit of playing the demented characters, I suppose. It was hilarious to see him crowing like a rooster & barking like a dog. His antic disposition was fascinating and occasionally amusing, not to mention he was unclothed at one point... And the accent was adorable of course. But I am so happy I saw this film, I know the actual story behind Hamlet. I want to read the tale that was taken down by Saxo Grammaticus, however. It vaguely reminded me of Beowulf. Obviously it is not nearly as epic, but certainly along those lines. Another tale of a Scandinavian, which of course I adore. I need to reread Beowulf also...
