Hi! I am a theater producer in Boston. I am producing a new live theatrical series called Blood Rose Rising. It is a new concept in theater - an original ongoing story that people can get involved in and follow as it develops. My story is a ghost story, about a man who falls in love with a beautiful Victorian ghost. As such, it explores the interplay between 19th century science and the supernatural.
We are currently doing a workshop production of it Harvard Square. We have already done our first two episodes, and are performing our third installment this Friday, May 6th at 9:00 pm in Harvard Square.
One of the things we need for our workshop is a 19th century prototype data storage device. Our hero finds this device in an abandoned house and discovers that he can replay data entries from his ancestors on their scientific experiments, long before the invention of the phonograph.
If anybody has a contraption which would serve the purpose for this device, we would love to borrow or rent it from you for the weekend. Please contact me at bevett@honestghost.com.
It's a really cool project! Help us out!
Ben
