Hello all you wonderful Steampunk folk!
I'd just like to tell you about Nexus Faire!
Nexus Faire is a new kind of fandom event for New England.
It is a place for geeks of all kinds to come together. We will have performers, workshops, vendors, food, and parties.
The mission of Nexus Faire is to bring together the people who make fandom happen to have a good time, relax, and network. It is a place for staff, volunteers, vendors, performers, and makers to mix and mingle. We will have belly dancers, fire performers, a fire pit, live music, a great DJ, games and gaming, panels, demos, workshops, hula hooping and so much more!
The main day of the event is Saturday, as that is when most of the performances are running, but you are welcome to come as early as Friday at 5:00 PM and leave as late as Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Nexus Faire will take place at Ye Olde Commons, a 40 acre LARP site owned and opperated by some awesome geeky folks. Ye Olde Commons boasts a great hall, vendor building, cabins, and plenty of camping space.
It's $25 if you pre-register and $30 if you don't. Cabin space is limited and costs $15 but camping space is free and unlimted. The entire weekend with food, admission and houseing will cost between $75 and $100 so it's a great deal!
