Forgive me? (1/3)mello_bello_91October 5 2009, 22:25:50 UTC
So, I had to write this! I'm sorry if the characters are OOC! It's my first glee fic, but like I said I HAD to write this!! Hope you like it!
~~~---~~~---~~~---~~~---~~~---~~~ Things didn’t change just because you started dating the guy you were suppose to beat up and torment daily. Mostly, because you’re a football player, and he’s just a member of the glee club, who was basically asking to get made fun of. That was before you got to know him though. Before you started caring for him. Once that started, you hated hurting him, but you had to, there were rules in high school. The football players dated cheerleaders and beat up the geeks, and you never had a problem with that, until you fell in love with one of those geeks.
It hurt though, every time you threw him in the dumpster, or called him names. Every time you hurt him, you felt your heart break, and he always forgave you, even if you could never actually say the words, “I’m sorry.” Every night, when you were together, he would place a hand on your cheek and forgive you before softly pressing his lips to yours. You don’t deserve him, and yet he won’t leave you. He’ll never leave you.
It was Wednesday, which meant that you and Kurt would have been dating for a month in two days. You were going to make it a special day for him, for both of you. You had it all planned out, pizza, and a movie at your house, seeing as your parents would be out of town. But that wasn’t how you were going to make it special. On Friday, you were going to apologize. You were going to say two words that you never thought you would ever be able to say, and starting Friday, you’re going to stop hurting him, you’re going to make sure no one hurts him anymore. Even if the rest of the school turned on you, you didn’t care, so long as he was by your side, you could handle it.
“Puck.” You hear him before you see him. “You ready?”
You nod and out stretch your hand to him. He smiles and interlaces his fingers with yours. You pull him closer and press your lips to his. He pulls away a few seconds later. “Then shall we?”
“Yeah.” You say, leading him to your truck. Tonight was going to be good.
“So,” He said as he walked next to you, swinging your arm in a way that use to annoy you. Now it just seemed cute and always made you smile. “I was surprised when I was able to go all day without getting thrown into the dumpster.”
“Oh, sorry. I can throw you in the dumpster before we go if you want.”
He sticks his tongue out, “That’s awfully sweet of you but I think I have other plans.”
Once you get to your truck, you open the door for him, as a gentlemen should, kissing him lightly on the cheek as he climbs in, making him blush slightly. You smile as you close the door and walk around to the driver’s side. Climbing into the truck you notice him fidgeting with something in his designer bag. He told you the designer, but you were to busy focusing on his lips to listen to what he said.
“What’s in the bag?” You nod your head towards where his hands are.
He looks away from you, his cheeks getting even redder. “It’s a surprise.”
“Uh huh.” You try to hide your smile as you turn on your truck, gently putting it in drive and pulling out of the school.
The car ride is quiet. It’s just the two of you in a peaceful, comfortable silence. About halfway through the drive, you moved your hand off the wheel and slide it over Kurt’s. Kurt just smiled and started drawing patterns on your hand, softly singing about falling for him tonight. These are the moments you enjoy the most. When it’s just the two of you, and you don’t have to act like a tough guy because deep down your just a guy who wants to be accepted. Kurt accepts you, even though he shouldn’t. He should hate you because of everything you’ve done to him.
“What’s wrong?” Kurt is staring at you, a worried look on his face.
“I’m just thinking.” You try to smile.
“That’s not good.” He rubs a circle on the back of your hand. “You might hurt your head if you think too much.”
You playfully pull your hand away for a few seconds before placing it back in his. “I’d be nice if I were you. I control the football team. I could have you dumpster diving again Monday.”
His smile fades at the mention of that. If you had known he would have reacted like that you wouldn’t have said it. Just another thing you had to apologize for. You don’t deserve him, and you know that, but he doesn’t. He sticks by you, and always forgives you.
“It’s okay.” He’s forgiving you, even though you don’t deserve it. “Let’s just enjoy tonight.” He smiles again. “Today is a very special day after all.”
You return his smile as you pull into your driveway. You give his hand a gentle squeeze before getting out of your truck. He climbs out of the truck and is quickly by your side, grabbing your hand as you both walk into the house.
You lead him into your room, both of you sitting on your bed. You move your free hand to run it through his perfectly done hair. “Happy Anniversary.”
He smiles and pulls something out of his bag and hands it to you. “Happy Anniversary.”
You take the package, and stare at it, turning it over a few times. “What is it?”
“If you’d open it.” He tries to look annoyed, but his eyes betray him.
You carefully slip the paper off of it, a big smile on your face as you see a fancy jacket that matches one of his. “You quickly kiss him, trying to suppress your laughter. You can feel him smile, which only makes you deepen the kiss.
He’s the one who pulls away. “We keep this up and we’ll never eat.”
You give him a mischievous look, “Or, I could eat off of you.”
He scrunches his nose at that. “That’s not sanitary.”
This time you don’t try to hide your laughter. This is the Kurt you’ve grown to love. Once you stop laughing you smile, “Fine. Then, how about I give you your gift?”
He smiles again, “I thought this was the gift.”
You place a soft kiss to his lips before you move off of the bed and onto the ground.
He looks confused. “You’re not going to propos are you?”
You can’t help but laugh at that. “No, something better.” You grab his hands, holding them in yours. “I owe you so many apologizes.” You look away from him, afraid of the look on his face. “I’ve done so much to you. You deserve so much more than me but you still stay with me. I know it’s only been a month but I can be myself around you. I don’t have to act tough. I can be the hopeless romantic I am.” You risk looking up at him. He’s smiling. It’s a small smile, but it’s still a smile and it encourages you to continue, “Every time I threw you in the dumpster after we started dating, you forgave me, even when I didn’t deserve it. You always forgave me. I don’t deserve you, but I love you. I’m sorry and I love you. I am so very sorry.”
You wait for him to walk away or tell you you’re an idiot. You wait for him to realize that he can do better, that you’ve hurt him too many times for him to love you back, or even like you back. Which is why when he places his hand under your chin and gently pulls you up so that he can kiss you. He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you onto the bed so that you’re lying on top of him. He pulls away, a smile on his face.
You sit up so that your straddling his hips so that he can carefully take off and fold his jacket as you shrug out of yours. He places his hands on your waist as you lean down and start kissing him again. You slowly kiss down his neck, marking him as yours. He groans as you move your hips slowly.
“I love you too.” The words are whispered, but you still hear them. “And I will always forgive you.”
You smile as you continue to mark him. You don’t deserve him, but hopefully he’ll never realize that.
“It’s a date!” His smile widens.
