Sooooooo. Michigan was good. It was nice to see the family again before I go away forever. Polish food = delicious.
When I got back, I finally saw The Dark Knight with Kyle on the IMAX. It was just a giant mind fuck. I was completely blown away. And I just want to say:
I convinced the parentals to go see it, so we all went together a few days ago. They were very impressed. People keep saying it left room for a third one, and I suppose I agree with that. But in Newsweek's interview with Chris Nolan, he said this:
Christian has expressed enthusiasm for doing a third "Batman" with you. How about it?
"All I can say is that, when we finished the first film, I didn't have any intention of doing a second one. And this time, I really tried to put everything that I ever wanted to see in the Batman story into this film. I wanted to make a great sequel, because there are very few great sequels. I've been watching Mad Men all week. Season 2 premiered on Sunday, and it was great. It's going to be a good season. Season 1 is actually downloading right now. Torrents ftw.
This weekend I'm going to New Mexico. As much as I hate that state, I'm pretty excited. The weather will be great, and it will be nice to just get away for a few days, spend some time with friends, etc. I leave in about twenty days for Mizzou. I'm excited, but at the same time kind of apathetic about the whole thing right now. It's going to be a huge change, and I think that's finally beginning to register.
