Enough Already...
Ok... Natalee Holloway is/was a pretty white girl from Alabama. She disappeared from Aruba after going to a bar with three strange men. She disappeared. No shit, sherlock. She was an idiot for doing that. It was also more than two bloody months ago.
So why the hell is she still showing up in my news links and on the morning show I watch each morning?
The media only cares cause she was a pretty white girl. This pisses me off no end. I am so sick of the media latching on to these cases that I almost consciously avoid the news nowadays. If Natalee was poor and mexican or poor and black or poor and anything else no one would give a shit. She'd be another idiot kid who disappeared while on a vacation.
The 24-hour news cycle has gotten to the point that any idiot can be a media sensation just for being missing. Or for being murdered. Don't think I've forgotten about what those media bastards did with the Laci Peterson murder case.
And don't give me that bullshit about how people care. Nobody cares. The only people who truly give a shit are the victim's family. And they can do the same thing every other victim's family does. Suffer in silence and leave the rest of us the hell alone. We don't care. We don't need to know. There are more important things in the world than some pretty white girl who did something stupid and got missing or dead.
So all you idiots who prepare newscasts... Will you kindly stick to telling me who the president has chosen for the Supreme Court or for UN Ambassador? Because this idiotic Natalee Holloway story has gotten more airtime and print space than both of those subjects combined. And that is a crime beyond measure.
