1. Both people monitored and commented on my page and Kurt's page.
2. Both people respond rapidly and regularly to responses to their comments.
3. Both insist on always having the last word.
4. AG's last post was on 2/12/03, BILL started posting on LJ on 2/16/03 (and I did not post anything between these dates to respond to...I was out of town).
5. AG has not posted since BILL came around, after a constant and regular presence for the life of my journal.
5. Kurt thought that AG was BILL when he first started posting.
6. Both people have a similar writing style and voice.
7. Neither responded to direct questions about their arguments, nor do they challenge specific parts of my argument.
8. Both indicated that they are writers.
So this is why I suspect they are the same.
writerdog denies that this is true, and I think it's only fair to post his remarks so he wouldn't feel compelled to repeat them:
"I have no clue what you're talking about. I only found out about this journal thing the day before I started posting my own."
"I have no reason to lie about anything to you or anyone one else who reads these journals."
Now there's no real way to know whether this is true or not, and it doesn't really matter either way. I am just curious. So I would be interested what people who have seen the comments from both people think.
Bill, I'm sure you will read this too...have you seen the comments from AG? Can you maybe understand now how I thought you could be him? I didn't mean anything by it...it just seemed to make sense. It may also explain why I started our conversations without formal introduction (and politeness). I was sure we had spoken previously and established an (emulous) style of exchange. I may have been more aggressive than you expected because that was sort of the style of conversation we (AG and I) had, and it seemed ok for both parties. This is one place where your personalities differed; you seemed much more jarred by barbs, but I thought that was because you were no longer anonymous. Sorry if it was a misunderstanding homey.
Lastly, AG if you are reading this...where have you been? I'm surprised you haven't jumped in on any of the discussions here or on Kurt's page. Were you a victim of the Homeland Security office's new McCarthy trials?
