I'd say damn they're cute and sing along

This morning my dad called around, as I was about to make a cup of tea, so I made him a coffee as well and we sat outside in the sunshine and drank our drinks and he caught me up on all the things he's working on (he now has about 4/5 part-time jobs aha).

It was lovely and it makes me so grateful to be home and to be able to do that.

Yesterday Dad put a ladder through my laundry window, while trying to go up on the roof to open the chimney so I can start lighting the fire this week. It's starting to get cold again, and my house is always at least 6 degrees colder inside than it is outside.

Quite a lot has been happening, but I'm not sure how much of it is worth noting. We lost our basketball grandfinal, I went to Melbourne and caught up with Hannah and Ash and Roj (and Annika of course). It was a lovely weekend. Last weekend I went to the peninsula over from mine and stayed with Sarah and Bill. We went to a distillery and a brewery and drove around (it's a much smaller place than where I live haha).

I bought a Roomba, and its the best thing I've ever purchased. I love not having to vacuum my house, but just turn it on and let it do its thing while I work. Bliss. Ty and Celine visited from London (to the place where I work, not my hometown) so I had a quick drink with them after I had dinner with the state tourism minister. Not that I'm bragging about that or anything haha.

Work has been busy except for this week (so look at me, posting while at work). We had our first leadership session, for the program I'm coordinating, and to say everything that could go wrong did go wrong is actually an understatement. I refuse to hold events in that town ever again. Unorganised venues, people not turning up when they're supposed to, late catering, unhelpful staff, time difference issues and to top it off, car troubles. I can't blame the place for that, the car place was actually the best service I had the whole time.

Brixton is still my little darling baby cat, and last night he brought me a present. It was a baby snake, a poisonous one! So I spent the night shaking him awake to check he hadn't succumbed to a bite, but he's fine this morning so he obviously didn't get bitten. Silly, lucky boy.

Netball starts this weekend, and I'm am quite literally booked out until August. Probably past August, but that's as far as I've put in my calendar.

Apologies for the comment spam everyone (all two of you), I've been reading them but I'm slack as usual.

family, happy, friends, work
