yunho/changmin (hyukjae/junsu, kindofnotreally!jaejoong/yoochun), 5508 words.
set in my college verse but it's not necessary to read. this is ridiculously, disgustingly fluffy, it might actually make you puke. one day i'll write something less... domestic-y.

Somewhere during swapping between actually doing his music essay and playing Tetris, sprawled out on his bed with his laptop resting on his knees, the door to the dorm opens and Yunho slumps in, cheeks flushed with his sports bag dragging behind him. Dropping the bag and kicking off his shoes, he groans completely over exaggerated and flops down onto the bed but mostly on top of Changmin.

“Dance rehearsals are going to be the death of me.” Yunho sighs into Changmin's chest and Changmin pulls his arms out from underneath Yunho's head so he can still use his laptop, dropping the yellow block perfectly in the gap and cheering inwardly as he gets another 300 points.

“Poor baby.” Changmin only slightly mocks, running a hand through Yunho's sweat damp hair whilst keeping the laptop steady with the other. Looking up from Changmin's chest, Yunho shows a pout that matches his over exaggerated groaning, half of his face buried in the material of Changmin's chest. Even after months, Changmin's breath still hitches and his hand stills in Yunho's hair.

Closing the laptop and pushing it towards the end of his bed, Changmin shuffles down and Yunho catches on, moving out of his awkward sprawl and flopping down next to Changmin, facing him.

“Hey,” Changmin whispers and Yunho's eyes peer at him, tired and worn, “hey, come home with me for Christmas.” Yunho stares, blinks, stares some more and grabs his cell, flipping it open and holding it to his ear.

“Jaejoong,” Yunho says into the phone, still staring at Changmin with wide eyes, “I think I broke your best friend.” Glaring, Changmin grabs the phone off of Yunho and shuts it, throwing it onto the other bed.

“I'm being serious!” He whines, pushing his face into his pillow, “I should just stop trying to be romantic because all you do is make fun of me.” With a snort of laughter, Yunho runs his thumb over the slope of Changmin's pouted lips and presses their lips together briefly, only pulling back slightly after.

“Of course I'll spend the holidays with you.” Yunho murmurs against Changmin's lips and the ridiculous fluttering starts up in Changmin's stomach again. He shifts and pushes Yunho onto his back, resting his cheek on Yunho's shoulder, legs pressed together.

“Good,” Changmin grins, “now we can use your car and I won't have to get the train.”

“I'm going to try and pretend that, that isn't the only reason you've invited me.”

“You can pretend all you want but it wont make it the truth.” Changmin reaches up a limp hand to pat Yunho's head but ends up getting his face. Yunho bites down and Changmin pulls away sharply, growling. Aiming for the sensitive part of Yunho's side, Changmin digs his fingers in and Yunho squawks, batting away his hands and flipping over, straddling Changmin's waist.

“Wait,” Yunho interrupts their moment just as he pins Changmin's wrists above his head, “does this mean I get to meet the Shim family?”

“That would be the general idea, yeah.” Changmin dead pans even as he tries to wriggle out from under Yunho. Stilling, Yunho lets go of Changmin's wrists and sits back, staring down.

“Would I be meeting them as your roommate or your boyfriend?” Yunho asks after a pause and Changmin breathes out, running a slow finger down Yunho's sweatpant clad thigh. Changmin's eyes curve and the corner of his lip turns up into a smirk.

“Depends how much they like you.” Yunho glares, pulls the pillow out from under Changmin's head and smacks him straight in the stomach.

-
They leave on December 23rd after Changmin spends the first half on Jaejoong's sofa and Yunho spends it with his family. The ride up to Changmin's parents house takes an hour and Changmin spends half of it sleeping and the other half fighting with Yunho over the radio and then distracting him at every red light just for kicks. It's past noon when Yunho pulls into the driveway and Changmin stumbles out of the car, stretches with his shirt riding up and takes in the sight of his old house.

"Okay, house rules," Changmin says once they're standing on the drive and Yunho raises an eyebrow from where he's pulling their bags out of the car, "I ban you from looking at any of my baby pictures, even if my mum says you can don't you dare call her 'mum' and please don't embarrass me because my parents are bound to do enough of that.”

“Fine, fine.” Yunho agrees but pretty much breaks the first rule when they get into the house and he starts cooing over the school pictures framed on the walls. Changmin hits Yunho on the way into the kitchen and Yunho just coos some more.

The kitchen is just as extravagantly decorated in tinsel and baubles as the hallway and Changmin peaks into the living room to be met with a ridiculously large tree covered in fake snow. He sighs, going back into the hallway to find Yunho still looking at the pictures on the wall.

“She's in the garden,” Changmin tells Yunho after reading the note placed on the counter, “c'mon we can put our bags in my room and then I'll introduce you to her.”

“I get to see your room,” Yunho singsongs from behind Changmin as they climb up the stairs and Changmin scowls, “I bet you have porn hidden under your bed.”

“I bet you shut up.” Changmin replies despite the fact it doesn't make any sense, taking a left down the hall and pushing into his room. There's still old posters from when he left but it's pretty bare, except for the desk, TV, bed and--

“You've got Ben 10 sheets.” Yunho states with a stifled laugh, placing their bags in the middle of Changmin's room at the end of his bed and he takes in the room.

“Out of all the fucking sheets we have...” Changmin mutters to himself, “I hate my mum.” He adds and as if on cue his mum's voice travels up the stairs.

“Changminnie?” she yells and Changmin groans at the overexcited-motherly voice, “Changminnie is that you?” Pulling Yunho along with him, Changmin gets to the top of the stairs before his mum starts squealing with delight, accompanied with a “I've missed you so much” and “what have they been feeding you in those dorms? You're practically a stick!”

“Mum,” Changmin cuts into the overprotective rambling, “this is Yunho.” and doesn't add my boyfriend or my roommate, just leaves it at that.

“Nice to meet you Mrs. Shim, thank you for letting me stay.” Yunho breaks out the charming smile, shaking her hand and leaning in to kiss her cheek. Rolling his eyes, Changmin watches as his mother's cheeks flush and she giggles slightly hysterical.

“Is it hot in here? I think it's hot in here,” she lets out in a rush, a hand lingering on Yunho's arm, “I better go check on dinner.” She manages before rushing over to the kitchen, completely and utterly flustered.

“And that's my mother.” Changmin says after a second and Yunho laughs.

“The flailing seemed familiar.” Yunho grins, briefly leaning against Changmin.

“You did that on purpose,” Changmin scrutinizes and Yunho pulls an innocent smile, “now go shower.

“Who says I need a shower?” Yunho scoffs indignantly.

“I do, there's a bathroom joined onto my bedroom, there should be towels and stuff.” Changmin gives him a push up the stairs and Yunho only resists for a second before taking the steps two at a time as Changmin takes off down the hall into the kitchen.

Grabbing an apple on his way in, Changmin avoids tripping over his mum who's searching through a cabinet and he hops up to sit on the counter next to the stove.

“So...” Changmin starts, taking a bite out of the apple, “do you like Yunho?”

“Changmin don't eat before dinner, you'll spoil your appetite.” His mum scolds once she finishes rummaging through the cabinet and Changmin only pouts slightly.

“Mum, I could eat a whole cake and still have room for dinner. Now, answer my question.” Changmin states and his mum laughs, stirring the pot on the stove and turning the temperature down.

"Oh, if I was 20 years younger." She breathes out wistfully and Changmin coughs, pauses and turns the apple over in his hand.

"... and, uh, and you'd have to be a guy too." He stuffs the apple into his mouth and his mum stops mid step, hand hovering over the handle of the pot.

"Shim Changmin," she manages, turning towards him with the wooden spoon brandished in her hand, "is this your way of telling me something?"

"No... Yes," Changmin hesitates with wide-eyes, looking somewhat like a deer caught in headlights, "maybe?" Pausing, his mum turns back to the pot, resting a hand on the counter beside it and running a hand through her hair.

“As long,” she starts, “as long as you're happy.” Changmin almost faints from relief, throwing the apple into the bin and jumping off the counter, hugging her from behind.

“I love you.” He crows, kissing her on the cheek in the exact spot where Yunho had before and she makes a fuss, trying to shift out of his arms. Changmin doesn't relent his hold, just hugs her closer and rests his chin on the top of her head.

“But you have to tell your father yourself when he gets back from work.” She adds, reaching over to grab the mushrooms with great difficulty seeing as her son is still hanging off of her. Changmin gapes and then glares.

“... Well played.” With a final squeeze of his arms around her waist, he lets her go and exits the kitchen, heading for his bedroom.

He grabs new sheets from the linen closet on the way, ones that are Ben 10-less, and manages to change the sheets himself even if it's a little bit sloppy. Disposing the other ones in the corner of the room, he flops back on the rug in the middle of the floor, facing the gap underneath his bed. He's met with a pair of meowing bright yellow eyes and he grins, reaching out a hand to pull the cat out from under the bed.

Yunho finds him like that when he gets out of the bathroom; lying back on the floor holding the cat above him making ridiculous noises.

“Having fun?” Yunho snorts, running a hand over his damp hair and he joins Changmin on the floor. “Where's Ben 10?”

“I didn't want to corrupt him.” Changmin answers, holding the cat higher with it's legs and arms dangling down and uses a thumb and a finger to make one of it's paws wave. “Hi!” Changmin says for the cat, raising the pitch of his voice as he makes it wave and Yunho raises an eyebrow, turning his head to fully show Changmin his expression.

“Do your parents know you're a retard?” He asks and Changmin glares letting the cat rest on his chest. It paws around for a second before settling half on Yunho and half on him, purring as Yunho's hand comes down to stroke under it's chin.

“Well one of them knows I have a boyfriend,” Changmin starts, running the tail through his hand and he watches Yunho's hand still. Even though this is an important moment, he still has the need to add, “so she might think I'm a retard for picking someone like you.” Yunho chooses to ignore the last bit and just smiles, burying his head in the top of Changmin's hair.

-
Changmin manages to tell his dad after dinner when Yunho's helping his, once again, flustered mother in the kitchen. Not really knowing what to expect, he braces himself for the worst and presses back into the dining room chair, only stuttering over the last sentence. Of all the things, he doesn't expect his dad to just nod, clap a hand on his shoulder and accept it.

Huh, Changmin thinks, dumbfounded and wonders if this is the first stage and the screaming and disowning will come along later.

“I'm taking your mother out,” He says with a smile after she comes out from the kitchen, followed by Yunho, “we'll be back around 11.” And then they just leave like that, Changmin still sitting dumbfounded at the dining table.

“That was,” he manages, “surprisingly good.”

“I love your parents.” Yunho grins and Changmin pushes himself out of the dining chair, pulling Yunho into the living room.

“I was expecting more of a fuss.” Changmin admits as he sits down on the couch, tugging Yunho down with him.

“I guess they were won over by my stunningly good looks, fantastic wit and pure charm.” Yunho jokes and Changmin rolls his eyes, resting his back against the arm of the couch and placing his feet in Yunho's lap.

“Yeah, that's probably it.” Changmin dead pans with only the slightest hint of sarcasm and Yunho puts on his stunningly-good-looking-pure-charm smile, pushing between Changmin's legs. He doesn't answer Changmin, just uses a hand on the arm rest to steady himself and kiss him.

Spreading his legs apart and wrapping one around Yunho's waist to draw him closer and using the other to steady himself on the floor to make sure he doesn't just fall right off the couch, which has unfortunately happened before, he deepens the kiss, hooking his arm around Yunho's neck. Yunho hums, tilting his head and smoothing a hand through Changmin's hair.

“This makes me feel like I'm back in high school.” Changmin pants out when Yunho pulls back, nosing at his cheek.

“You did this in high school?” Yunho asks against his cheek, “and I thought you used to be innocent.” With a laugh Changmin leans his head back against the arm rest.

"American foreign exchange student," Changmin offers as an explanation, "I thought I'd show him the Korean way."

"Did he speak Korean? I know for a fact you can't speak English."

"Oh, we didn't need words." Changmin wiggles his eyebrows obnoxiously and Yunho scoffs, cutting the conversation off with his lips.

-
They make it to bed after watching 2 hours of Christmas specials, Yunho settled on top of Changmin his head resting on his chest as he mocks the cheesiness of the shows. It takes a ridiculously long time for them to get upstairs, Changmin slumped over with tired as he takes regular breaks on the way up the stairs just for Yunho to step in front of him and start dragging him.

Changmin starts undressing as soon as he gets in the room, flinging his t-shirt somewhere to the left, shedding his jeans and falling down onto the bed face first clad in only boxers. Yunho takes it upon himself to flop down right on top of him a second later, dressed in more appropriate pyjamas.

“Uncomfortable.” Changmin mumbles with his face pressed awkwardly into the mattress and Yunho rolls off after a second of Changmin attacking him half-heartedly with his elbows.

“Are you sure your parents wont mind us sleeping in the same bed?” Yunho asks when he finally pulls out the duvet from underneath Changmin, lying down next to him and he reaches out a hand to turn the lamp off.

“Kdsjiaojeaeas.” Half-asleep-Changmin garbles in reply, turning onto his side and Yunho rolls his eyes.

Yunho's already curled up on the other side of the bed, just about to fall asleep when Changmin shivers, pulling the covers tighter around him.

“Ugh, I forgot how cold this room was.” He mumbles and Yunho chuckles quietly, rolling over to face Changmin's back and shifting closer, pressing along his back and hooking an arm around his waist.

“Better?” Yunho whispers into his hair, nosing at the nape of his neck.

“Shhh,” Changmin whispers back, bending his legs and placing his ice block feet over Yunho's, “sleeping.” Yunho rolls his eyes but rubs his feet against Changmin's anyway, falling asleep just as the front door opens and Changmin's parents get home. He presses his smile into Changmin's hair.

-
Christmas Eve finds Changmin's mum freaking out over turkey, Changmin's dad watching some sport that typical gay-son-Changmin doesn't actually understand and he takes it upon himself to just get in the way of his mother's frantic tidying. It feels way too familiar for Yunho.

“Changmin,” his mum grits out finally after she has to manoeuvre Changmin's legs to dust the coffee table, “please just... Go find something to keep you busy.” Changmin sends Yunho a suggestive look and Yunho coughs, looking away.

“Fine,” Changmin drags out, pulling him and Yunho off the sofa, “I don't see why you're cleaning, anyway, nobody's coming around tomorrow.” He finally flees the room when the duster is thrown in his general direction and he grabs his coat, Yunho following.

“What should we do?” Yunho asks, stuffing his hands into his coat as the first hit of winter breeze gets to him.

“I have absolutely no idea.” Changmin answers, pulling the scarf tighter around his neck and pulling his hair out of it from where it's been tucked in.

“Walk in the park?” Yunho offers, taking an extremely discreet step closer to Changmin as they get to the bottom of the drive.

“Too cheesy.”

“Mall?”

“Too crowded.”

“Ice-rink?”

“Too cold.” Yunho glares at Changmin's stubborn smirk and pushes him down into the neighbours hedge, taking off down the street with Changmin's shrieks following him.

-
They're pink faced and laughing when they get home, Changmin's back covered with leaves and an inconspicuous bite mark on Yunho's cheek.

“I'm not even going to ask.” Changmin's dad says when he spots them putting away their outdoor clothes in the closet, toeing off their shoes. Changmin laughs and Yunho blushes, Changmin's mother peering up from the couch.

“There's some leftovers in the oven if you want them.” She says and Yunho finds a twig in Changmin's hair.

“We already ate at some diner in town.” Changmin answers, throwing the twig at Yunho's head when he passes it over.

“Well you could at least do the dishes then.” She gives him a deceivingly sweet smile and Yunho coughs to hide a laugh from behind him. Sighing, Changmin ties his scarf around his neck and pretends to hang himself. Yunho slaps his arm.

“We'd love to do the dishes.” Yunho grins, showing all teeth and pushes Changmin into the kitchen. With no words, Changmin just glares grabbing the yellow washing-up gloves and pulling them on, filling the sink with water.

Deciding to help, Yunho comes up behind Changmin and pushes his arms through the gap in between Changmin's, grabbing the other pair of gloves and pulling them on. Arms still wrapped around Changmin, he picks out a plate from the sink, washing it and then passing it up to Changmin's awaiting hands where he dries it.

Whilst Yunho rests his chin on Changmin's shoulder to see his hands, Changmin watches the sink, having to blow his hair out of his eyes every few seconds.

“My mum keeps telling me to get it cut.” Changmin interrupts the silence, trying to flick his hair out of his face.

“I like it,” Yunho offers, grabbing a knife from the bottom of the sink and leaning his face closer to Changmin's ear, “feels good under my fingers when I kiss you.”

“Yeah, I'm pretty sure that would persuade my mum to stop bugging me. ” Changmin scoffs, ignoring the light blush on his cheeks, “hey mum, you might not like my hair but Yunho likes to run his fingers through it when he kisses me, so I think it's going to stay.” Yunho splashes the suds up into Changmin's face and squeezes his elbows into Changmin's sides.

“Santa gives sarcastic boys coal for Christmas.”

-
Yunho's used to have fifty thousand people over at Christmas, waking up at 6 am to screaming little cousins and parents already downstairs, smiling but with tired eyes. It's nice, though, for him to wake up at 9 this year, all at his own accord with no screaming 5 year old jumping all over his face.

Although he'd fallen asleep with only his legs touching Changmin's, he wakes up with Changmin everywhere around him, hair all in his face and Changmin's hand up his shirt. He squints into the light of the room, pulling back slightly from Changmin and stretching.

“Merry Christmas.” Changmin garbles into the mattress once he finally awakens, hair sticking up everywhere and Yunho kisses the top of his head in response, pulling the covers tighter around them.

It's half an hour later when they finally make it down the stairs, Changmin still half asleep and Yunho grins when they find Changmin's parents already up and dressed. They open presents in the living room with the radio on in the background, Yunho wishing he hadn't opened the completely inappropriate one from Hyukjae and Junsu in front of Changmin's parents. He hides it behind Changmin's back before they can see, quickly grabbing another one off the pile and praying to God that this one's from someone who wouldn't give him R rated graphic novels.

“Hey wait,” Changmin interrupts as Yunho opens the present from him, “where's my present from you?”

“I must've left it upstairs,” Yunho says pulling back the wrapping paper, grinning when it reveals a ridiculous amount of Japanese DVD's, “I'll give it to you later.”

“If it's just you with a bow stuck on you I'm not going to be amused.” Changmin says in all seriousness, grabbing another present off the pile and ripping it open.

When they're done and Changmin's cat has been rescued from the depths of a large pile of wrapping paper, they go back upstairs leaving Changmin's parents to start preparing dinner.

“Present.” Changmin demands as soon as they get into his room and Yunho reaches for his cellphone.

“I need to call my family first.” Yunho stalls even though he could call his family later and Changmin glares, thinks fine and decides to make himself a nuisance.

He starts to rummage through Yunho's bag as Yunho talks to his dad and Yunho grabs him by the back of his shirt, pulling him away from it. Complying for a second, Changmin sits patiently before he rests his head on Yunho's shoulder, turning his head and running his tongue along to curve of his neck.

“Hey dad, could you hold on for a second?” Yunho says into the phone as Changmin starts to nibble on his ear, nosing at his hair. Changmin's pushed down onto the bed in one move and Yunho's sitting on his chest in another, “carry on.” Wriggling, Changmin glares and tries to push Yunho off but to no avail.

When he's finally finished on the phone, Changmin musters up all of his strength and pushes him off repeating, “present.” Yunho only chuckles, reaching under the end of the bed to pull out a box.

Making grabby hands at it, Changmin grins with delight, pulling off the bow and sticking it to Yunho's forehead instead. Yunho rolls his eyes and Changmin pulls of the tab of tape, lifting up the lid of the box.

“... What is it?” He asks as soon as he pulls out this black frame-like thing but with nothing showing where a picture should be.

“Plug it in.” Yunho sighs, pulling out the power adapter from the box and Changmin shuffles over to his night stand and puts the plug in. The screen takes a second to light up but then a picture fades in and Changmin's heart tightens at the smiles in this picture and he only has a second to take it in before another picture appears on screen.

“Always the romantic.” Changmin mocks even as he smiles down at the frame, a picture of him, Yunho, Junsu and Jaejoong fading in.

-
“Changmin, I think that's enough.” His dad warns as Changmin takes another long sip of the mulled wine and he just giggles.

“I swear that boy is a black hole.” Changmin's mum adds in with a chuckle and Yunho laughs, tugging the glass out of his hand and placing it as far away as possible.

“I'll, uh, take care of him,” Yunho tries, hooking Changmin's arm around his shoulder and pulling him up. Changmin giggles again and Yunho stumbles, “thank you so much for letting me stay here, by the way.”

“Our pleasure, dear.” Changmin's mum smiles broad and Changmin's dad holds up his glass to Yunho with a nod and Yunho smiles right back.

“You may be skinny but you're annoyingly heavy,” Yunho mutters as he tries to drag a slightly tipsy Changmin up the stairs, Changmin giggles some more, “you could at least help.”

“Help is for the weak!” Changmin states and becomes even more of a dead weight against Yunho as they make it to his room

Changmin manages to get his own clothes off because Yunho refuses to help, not believing he's anywhere near drunk and just tipsy and he slips underneath the covers, skin buzzing.

It's sometime past midnight when the whole house is quiet that Changmin shifts against Yunho, running a finger down his nose and blowing wine-smelling breath into his face.

"Are you asleep?" Changmin whispers into the dark, poking the end of his nose and brushing his thumb over his lips.

"Not any more" Yunho mutters, voice thick with sleep and eyes opening slowly. Changmin's skin is still buzzing when he moves his limbs awkwardly, straddling Yunho. “No, we're not doing anything whilst your parents are in the house.” Yunho protests as Changmin breathes hot against his neck, grinding down.

Pulling back Changmin pouts down at Yunho and Yunho just pouts right back.

"Alcohol makes you way too handsy." Yunho states as the flat of Changmin's palm runs up his chest.

"Fine we won't do anything ,” Changmin huffs, sitting back, “but I won't be able to restrain myself so you better sleep on the floor. By yourself. With no pillow... On the floor."

"Are you serious?" Yunho gapes.

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder." Is Changmin's only reply and he's fully prepared to push Yunho out of the bed.

"You are so fucking difficult." Yunho growls and Changmin grins back in response, kissing him and pressing a leg between his.

-
The next couple of days are spent being completely and utterly lazy, Changmin occasionally taking Yunho out of the house to show him the town and push him into hedges for revenge. More than enough embarrassing stories are shared when they all have dinner together and Changmin's mum breaks out the photo album one too many times.

-
No-one's in when they finally make their way downstairs on New Year's Eve morning and Changmin pushes Yunho straight into the kitchen, stomach growling.

"You have no bowls." Yunho says as he searches through the cabinets as Changmin pulls out the cereal box and Changmin takes one look at the plates stacked up in the sink and groans. Glancing around the room he looks for an alternative, he spots a fairly large bowl in the corner of the room and grins. Pouring almost half of the cereal box into the bowl, he pours the milk in with it, grabs two spoons and takes off into the living room before Yunho can even say anything.

"My boyfriend the genius." Yunho fake swoons onto the couch next to Changmin and Changmin snorts, shoving a spoonful in Yunho's mouth as he turns on the TV.

They finish the bowl between them, watching some ridiculous anime that just happens to be on and Yunho pushes the bowl onto the coffee table checking the time.

“We still have ages before we have to drive up to Jaejoong's, what do you want to do?”

"How about I whoop your ass at Mario Kart?" Changmin offers, already getting up and grabbing the controllers.

"I do have to warn you,” Yunho starts, tucking his feet under him and taking the controller from Changmin as he starts up the Wii, “I'm amazing at Mario Kart."

"Yeah, we'll see." Changmin mutters, picking The Toad as his character with the huge bad ass motorbike.

Yunho wins every race, even after a rematch and he tackles Changmin to the floor in celebration.

“Get off me, you smell,” Changmin whines, but Yunho's a dead weight on top of him, “seriously, get off of me, you weigh a ton.”

“Sorry,” Yunho offers as an apology, rolling off of Changmin, “I couldn't hear you over all the winning.”

-
They say goodbye to Changmin's parents at around 6 and Changmin takes the wheel this time, Yunho reluctantly sitting back in the passenger seat. When they get to Jaejoong's an hour later there's only two cars pulled into the driveway but Changmin can't hear the music from the outside.

"Yoochun's really sick so we're not doing anything big tonight." Jaejoong explains as soon as he answers the door, pulling Changmin into a bone crushing hug.

"Good, I'm feeling a little sick after being in a car for half an hour with Changmin's insane road rage." Yunho puts in and Changmin thumps him in the back, entering the living room. He's met with the Junsu sprawled out on the floor, Hyukjae in the armchair next to him and Yoochun curled up on the couch wearing, what looks like, 30 hoodys with a bright red nose.

"How are you doing?" Yunho asks as he plops down on the couch next to Yoochun and Changmin trips over Junsu on his way into the kitchen.

"I'd welcome death." Yoochun manages, voice nasal and eyes watering.

Changmin pours 3 drinks in the kitchen, Jaejoong following behind him and leaning against the counter.

“How was Christmas?” Jaejoong asks, passing Changmin the bottle of coke and Changmin grins.

“Magical,” Changmin answers because that's exactly the response Jaejoong wants, “I guess you won't be forcing Yoochun to give you a New Year's kiss.”

"Oh, I'll get my midnight kiss even if it kills me." Jaejoong leers and judging by the lack of colour in Yoochun's face and his constant sneezing, it's going to kill him.

Rolling his eyes, Changmin grabs the drinks and takes them back into the living room passing one to Yunho, putting down the other on the side table and giving the other to Yoochun, "3 parts Jack Daniels, one part coke. I thought it would help completely numb your body."

"You are a god send," Yoochun smiles, “I would hug you but I don't want you catching the plague.”

“S'fine.” Changmin says and settles down on the couch next to Yunho, pulling his arm over his shoulder.

“How was Christmas?” Junsu asks from the floor, rolling onto his back and kicking up his legs onto the arm chair where Hyukjae's sitting.

“I actually have to talk to you about a certain Christmas present that I opened in front of Changmin's parents.” Yunho glares and Junsu cackles.

“I swear I had nothing to do with it, I wanted to get you a scarf but Junsu distracted me with a hand down my pants.” Hyukjae holds up his hands in defence, pushing Junsu's feet off of him. There's a pause where Yoochun looks between everyone and sighs.

"This is possibly the gayest room I've ever been in." He croaks and Junsu cackles some more, wriggling around.

-
They kiss a couple of minutes after midnight because they're too busy laughing at Yoochun running away from Jaejoong who's wholeheartedly trying to kiss him but Changmin gathers himself and kisses Yunho through his laughter, champagne balanced in one hand.

They get to sleep on the couch because Yoochun shotguns the spare bedroom and Hyukjae and Junsu don't stay over. Yunho wakes up with a cramp in his neck and a dead arm but Changmin's curled into him, their legs entwined and chests pressed fully together and it's a pretty okay way to start the new year.

Jaejoong wakes up with a completely blocked nose and a pounding headache. He kicks Yoochun in the back on the way to the toilet.

uh, this really wasn't supposed to be this long. as usual i'm really not fond of it but kjdsaekesa. brb hiding forever. blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. feel free to point out any mistakes seeing as i've only read through this half heartedly.
