My, my - this is quite an unconvential kidnapping.

[His expression is solemn, though not without frustration, not without urgency, for such things are to be expected, it would be entirely unnatural were he without such subtleties. However, his lips are set in a small, almost nonchalant smile - in fact, he even seems a little amused, as if there's ( Read more... )

Are you quite certain our situations are anything alike? Who would want to kidnap you?

[Schneizel's manner is amicable, but not overly so.]

Was I incorrect in believing that circumstances were similar for the residents here - that we have, in fact, all been taken from where we were before?

Some, perhaps. It's quite perplexing. I haven't any idea why anybody would want to steal most of these nobodies!

[He smiles at that, but it's small and wry.]

Then we have been... stolen, as you put it? And this is not simply a case of dreaming?

[He sighs. And then laughs. Condescendingly.]

It appears that all the idiots here believe in that excuse for an explanation. It spreads like wildfire, doesn't it? I almost fell for it myself. Let me tell you what this place is really like. If we are really in a dream, why can't we wake up? Why is it that we can sleep and that dreams magically appear on these devices? This place bears no resemblance to any of your own dreams, I'm sure. Am I wrong? What kind of dream does that sound like to you? It's hardly a dream! Isn't the only explanation that we've been kidnapped?

I am unwilling to rule anything out, sir, when the situation is so alien. However, it seems foolish to believe that this is purely a dream - there must surely be something else at work. Unfortunately it seems we have little indication as to what that is.

What, do you intend to find out what exactly holds us captive here? Some have been here for two years and still know nothing about this place.

A noble ambition, but perhaps one better left until I'm more settled. I've little interest in a pointless fight, after all.

Leave the battles to Napoleon! He's used to participating in wars he can't win.

[...Well, that's interesting.]

How perplexing! Napoleon is known to have won a considerable number of wars, in the history books.

No problemo! *u* clonezart March 19 2011, 05:26:38 UTC
Yet ultimately he lost! Did you miss that part in the history books?

...Napoleon was victorious at Waterloo, only to be poisoned on his return to France, was he not?

It's the same thing, isn't it? He's dead either way.

I am Mozart.

Quite a lofty name to live up to, I imagine. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mozart.
