My, my - this is quite an unconvential kidnapping.

[His expression is solemn, though not without frustration, not without urgency, for such things are to be expected, it would be entirely unnatural were he without such subtleties. However, his lips are set in a small, almost nonchalant smile - in fact, he even seems a little amused, as if there's ( Read more... )

[Jessamine is admittedly a bit curious about how the man seems to know so much about Somarium.]

Have you been here before, sir?

[He greets her with a courteous smile.]

Not to my recollection, though if I've found myself in a dream world, I imagine that recollection provides little confirmation.

Found yourself in a dream world? I hadn't the faintest idea that there were more.

Perhaps regrettably, I can't claim to be an expert on such a subject.

I doubt very much that anyone could be an expert on the subject. After all, it is a rather unusual subject.

Very true. Have you learned anything of worth during your time here yourself, miss...?

[She gives him a slight curtsy before straightening up and offering him a small smile.]

Miss Jessamine Lovelace. And I have although unfortunately it has been first hand experience. The world seems to have a terrible habit of having something happen to it every moon cycle.

An honour, Miss Lovelace. [He notes her manners, her speech patterns, and with a hand over his heart gives a small bow in return.] You may call me Schneizel.

[And then, onto business. The smile slips somewhat, his expression turning thoughtful.]

I was informed of this. Perhaps you could elaborate for me?

The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Schneizel.

[Her smile turns into a bit of a frown.]

Well...it's a bit difficult to say but I will try my best. I've so far experienced being attacked by vicious vegetables, having the world turn into a candy land, mischevious cherubs causing havoc and fog that makes you see things from home.

[There's a pensive, and admittedly rather nonplussed pause.]

I suppose it should not surprise me that there's little pattern to be found in that.

This world is irritatingly random. Has anyone informed you yet of how these devices can record dreams?

maskmastery March 6 2011, 23:33:34 UTC
They have, though not with great detail. One gentleman informed me that he'd had one of his dreams broadcast every month - is this par for the course, or should I expect to find it less reliable than that?

halfthelady March 9 2011, 06:11:41 UTC
It honestly depends. I myself have had two dreams broadcasted but I wouldn't say they run on a schedule.

[A small, dissatisfied sound. He dislikes how easy they're all ensnared here, how little they have to rely on.]

I see. [But:] May I ask as to how long you've been trapped here, Miss Lovelace?

halfthelady March 9 2011, 16:45:38 UTC
Four months now. It's been entirely too long for my liking.

Then it seems prudent to assume that I may be trapped here for some time.
