Personality:
Sadiq is something of an enigma. He can quite easily be the loudest individual in the room - unabashedly fast to grab attention if he's looking for it, and a little more than unruly and boisterous. He's hot-tempered and quick to pick a fight if seen fit: Actions speak much louder than words, after all. And he speaks his mind. If he doesn't like you, you will know so, for certain. If he does like you, you will also know for certain- if he can sometimes also be a bit on the "reluctant to admit it" side, depending on who the individual in question is and what sort of past they share.
With such an abrasive personality that's a little difficult to miss, it's also easy to get into a brawl with him. And he wouldn't be so keen on it if he didn't like it - yes, to an extent, he enjoys fighting. As seen in the older strips as him still the Ottoman Empire, he regarded fighting as "playing". It's possible for this to seem a little unsettling. Perhaps, back in these days, it also came with little regard for the playmates well-being. This would be obvious if this individual in question were more than a mere source of entertainment, and actually an enemy- of course, the point of fighting an enemy is somewhat in opposition to caring for their well-being. He takes it a step further. And yet, more importantly than fighting would be winning. It stems from his pride as who he is as a nation: nearly everything can be made into a trivial competition of sorts, especially if it looks to be in his favor. Not only should it determine the better of the two participants once-and-for all, but it's also just fun. Because of this mentality, he's hardly a sore loser- no matter how important the activity may be to him.
Another defining personality trait would be his impatience; his tendency to get frustrated when patience is the key. It's a reason as to why he hates kids. They're difficult to put up with, whiny, hardly learn fast enough and require a large amount of care and attention: something, well... is difficult for him to give without first receiving. He's constantly on the fast track and doesn't want to slow-down. The dislike is seemingly mutual. Combined with his blunt manner, it tends to rub others the wrong way - not only kids. His "ruffian" way of speaking, with a filthy mouth to boot, only exaggerates this. And yet, they still have the similar quality in both being rather immature; whether it boils down to handling their own emotions rather poorly, or laughing at another's expense, it seems rather undeniable.
Apparent short comings aside, he's friendly. He's not going to be outwardly-insulting just to pick a fight, unless he has some already preconceived notion that one deserves it. While he is kind, his honesty can still be a little... harsh. As such, as much as he does like fighting, he'd much rather get along with someone. It's part of the pre-packaged deal, really. He's loyal and will stick it right out to the end with you. A great ally to have, but an even worse enemy. (Did I mention he can hold a terrible grudge?) He's non-judgmental, (unless you happen to be Greek, or any of the other nations he tends to pick on and hold a grudge against- in which case, there will probably still be the unexpected and occasional moment of kindness) casual if let be. And at times, he can even be sensitive. If someone close to him his hurting, as much as he probably sucks at comforting, he'd at least try. Don't expect him to be able to take a walk in your shoes easily, though- it won't stop him from doing what he wants. Insults from his enemies tend to breeze right off, as he typically and quite obviously doesn't care for their opinion. Though from someone otherwise, it'll sting a bit, even if he pretends otherwise. As a consequence of the grudge tendency, he'll remember it too- rarely, though, would it ever be brought up again.
But this is all after he's mellowed out some. Yes, he could be even more volatile. During his days as the Ottoman Empire, he was much more ruthless and eager to cause conflict. Some could even argue, through his actions, that he was downright sadistic. But during his time as the "Sick Man" of Europe, in combination with the later foundation of the Republic of Turkey, he's become much, much more suited to the modern day era. In a way, it was necessary for survival. As some nations seem innately peaceful only to become brutally violent at some point in there history, it was much the opposite for him. However, though, the change appears to be for the permanent (the influence of current leaders aside). In the aftermath of World War I, enter the Treaty of Sèvres. While it did not go through completely on account of the Turkish War of Independence being won and his securing of what of his former territory he could (modern day Turkey), the idea of being partitioned nearly completely was something that he hadn't even thought of possible prior to these events. Thus not only did the aftermath of World War I have a considerable impact on his views today (taking into account Atatürk's influence as well), but it also served as a wake-up call of sorts.
Powers & Abilities: Nations in general have incredible vitality. They can lose much more blood than the average human, may be stronger and faster than average, can take more damage, and are not easily crippled, etc; before actually being limited by such. Doesn't age.
What items will they be bringing with them to Discedo? Clothes, his scimitar, and a shitty handgun.

Third-Person Sample: Holy fuck.
That both answered a few questions and raised several more. Nothing would ever be able to convince him those had been dogs- maybe once, but no more. Their further ruined corpses lie in front of him motionless. Blood runs lazily from the edge of his scimitar to drip to the ground, the only noise but for his breathing and the whistling of the wind. Or maybe not the only, if that faraway scuffling behind that building over there were to prove to be something yet more unpleasant.
But Turkey would take it in stride, of course. There would be no hiding, even against a force that seemed more powerful than he. But at once, he not only believes that to be possible, but likely as well, and it's a little more than jarring. Not to say that he didn't already have a safe area in mind if the fighting became more than it was worth, however. He wouldn't have gotten this far if he were in the habit of throwing his life away needlessly. He wipes the blood on the outside of his pant leg before sheathing the sword again, reverting his attention to elsewhere for the moment. With the slightest of shakes, due to still being in the midst of composing himself after the initial shock, he draws the item out from a pocket.
'Use this.'
Yet another object foreign to him, perhaps this one even stranger than the last few he'd encounted. But this one he can reasonably hope to be somewhat safer, he thinks. And immediately he'd like to test its durability, by perhaps doing something a little foolish, but chooses to instead heed the advice. Nonetheless, despite his ineptitude with electronics, he flips it open and manages to switch it on- and if that little red light were anything to go by? Then action. The grin for his audience is already in place.
First-Person Sample: Hahaha! Damn! This place is really one 'a the shittiest I've ever seen! One 'a, the others bein' my neighbors houses after they chose to renovate 'em. But I mean, I know yer all tryin' yer hardest 'n all, 'least I hope so, but really-
[a pause.]
-Y'know what this place needs? A bathhouse. Judgin' by the state 'a things, I'd say a bunch'a ya prolly dunno how to bathe yerselves either - 's why everythin' else is in such shoddy shape - an' who better to teach that than me!
[who needs similarities. certainly not him.]
Anyway~ If there's anythin' Greek here, I'd say it can go right on top 'a that. Right on fuckin' top.
