(no subject)
Just got back from supper with some of my Masker babies... they're sooo cute. I always forget how much fun they (my Masker girls, babies and my line) can be, they're so sweet and like to have fun just like everyone else. I'm gonna go help them with some of their songs later tonight. Felt only a little weird b/c almost all of them have a significant other... two brought their boyfriends along and while that's cool, I kinda felt like I couldn't connect b/c well I'm a little relationship challenged. Seems like everytime I turn around Mom or someone else is asking if I have a boyfriend yet... then say "oh that's okay you'll find someone someday" that's all good but what if I don't want to wait that long? What the hell is wrong with me??? somedays i don't want to be around anybody and other days i wish I had a relationship with someone.... Oh well.
Homecoming is this weekend and I'm super super excited! Can't wait to see my pledge sista, my big, granny, GGranny, and other cool older alums (Bronwyn and Shannon!). looking forward to Mag Chain (got my regailia today!) but not looking forward t ohaving to wake up so damn early. Big/Lil is this weekend, too. kinda worried I have too much to do this weekend but that's the best way to have it... If I'm busy then I won't think and worry too much. Tomorrow I'm doing some golden girl oral histories for SWI and I'm getting paid for it! Isn't it a wonderful feeling to make money doing something you love to do?! Kinda nervous about meeting Barbara Dean... she was a Rogue and BL back in the 40s. I interview her next saturday at her home in Mobile.
