Old and New!
Heading into the middle of the fourth week here already!!
It's surprising how quickly it has actually gone..considering how bored ive been living in this house and how much I've wanted to be in Manchester!
I'm looking around the design studio and sales room and getting quite excited to see some of my work come through (like I say, were merely in the design stages at the moment so it'll be a few weeks yet) and also looking back to the placement i did here and seeing my old designs still on sale! Very cool. They had some changes, and also, all of the prints were done by the designer there (Steph, who's maternity leave I'm covering). But still, a proud moment to see my designs actually on sale!!
These are a few. I mostly designed corsets, but a few other bits:

Hot underbust corset!! This changed a little from my original, love this one, keep meaning to buy it myself actually!:
Skirt (though i wish they hadn't put the bows on the front :S!!! :
Our current research is pretty unusual actually.. some odd themes for alternative wear, can't write about them here really-lots of probs with rival companies etc, but yeah, odd..! Enjoying them though, there's a theme which leads itself to gothic so I love that one, and then one which i'm not hugely into, so is more of a challenge, and then a few bits ans pieces.
It's a shame actually, I'd love to document what I'm doing, but Ill have to wait until it's out in the shops again!! Exciting stuff!!
We work in "stories" so, each story has a theme, and then we design garments to go in that theme. Kind of like range building, where you need to make sure you have for example a skirt, top, jacket, trouser etc, only much smaller, about 6 pieces in each story.
I'm learning a lot from being here that I wouldn't necessarily in a larger company which I enjoy.
Just wish I could move it to manchester :D haha
