You really have to take anything on that site with a grain of salt, or better yet, the whole shaker. It's a satire site first and foremost, and the rest of the time they write articles just to be curmudgeonly.
Part of the problem with the Twilight phenomenon is that it's making Geek something trendy, bringing people who would otherwise snub and look down upon the denizens of Comic-Con (and other places) right into the heart of their comic-reading, miniature-painting, card-trading, MMO-playing world. It's quite upsetting for most geeks, particularly those who got hit hard with the scornstick. Comic-con was a sanctuary for these people, away from TBP and those who shun them, where they could be among their own and not be judged except as among equals. Now all that is threatened. Is it any wonder articles like this get written?
Again, that's really what the site is about. It's right there in the name, "heckler." I can't take seriously anyone who makes it their work to be a dick.
