TLAPD
Yesterday, R. & I went to a Halloween store at lunch to get some swashbucklin' gear. I ended up wearing mine the rest of the day. I got a nice one with a swishy tail that felt nice against the back of my neck, and some hats of the tie-on variety for some of my co-workers. Fortunately, TLAPD is well known among my co-workers (some were conducting their daily stand-up meetings entirely in pirate speak).
It was nice to hear the chorus of "Arrr!" (and peals of laughter) as people walked by and saw us wearing our hats. Who knew that such a simple act as wearing a pirate hat could provide such merriment?
I may have to seriously consider implementing a suggestion that I made to my work group of BAs and project managers - to host a brown bag presentation on April 1st to roll our our newest project planning & tool: the Magic 8 Ball.
