I have a bit of a fascination with carousels. Whenever I encounter a functioning carousel, I've always taken at least one ride. (The only exception to this is my recent trip to Navy Pier, which does have a working carousel. The fun, for me, is to be on an animal that moves up and down, which for some reason is restricted to children on that carousel.)
I've decided to make a list of carousels I'd like to ride, should I find myself in the neighborhood. I'm not certain whether I'll travel just to ride a carousel, but having a list handy to check to see if any are nearby seems quite reasonable. Thanks to the wonderful internet (the source of all that is good and true), I can now easily find places with carousels. W00t!
