People who agree with you are usually the ones "winning" the game, and then they get completely flipped when they get booted back down into the XP Dungeon. They then either turn to OOC politicking clique-play shenanigans, or, like me, become bitter alcoholic has-beens who secretly continue playing their character in the back of their mind like schizophrenic Muppet Babies while smiling and nodding and just clock punching until a reset.
I know there are complaints, but to be honest, I had a great time this weekend at your game, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even though I didn't like the backwards-tabletop-initiative stuff, I did like the game. It felt a lot like it felt when I still lived there.
I fully agree. The people were fantastic, they knew what was coming and they encouraged it in many cases. We got the chance to end some stories and begin some new ones with people who took it in stride and now have an understanding of 'what's out there'.

Right now I'm in a place where I'm just not in the mood for rudeness, callousness, or courseness on my own LJ, and from experience, a lot of comments that tend to come from people wanting to argue a few points with me tend to go that way. Not all of them will, and I'm not even saying one person in particular would. Anyone's entitled to view that stance as whatever they want, but that's my explanation of it. There are other times I'm perfectly willing to debate, discuss, etc. I've got something in mind to write up in a similar vein when I'll invite such.

Argh, sentence fail, I know, before anyone says it :) But I think the idea got across.
