What a sad, yet sweet story! I really enjoyed this new look at bit of Erik's early life.

I loved how you explored Erik's childhood from a completely new point of view. It would be very much in character, for Erik to lie to Christine for any sort of sympathy.

Very interesting story. I love the creative look at Erik's childhood. I kind of like the idea of Erik actually having a mother who didn't absolutely loathe him, but still having a pretty sad and screwed up early life. This is very believable and in-character and just great. Thank you!

(Also, Erik's doll house reminds me of the ridiculously complicated and ongoing games my sister and I played out with dolls when we were little. So I enjoyed that aspect quite a bit.)
