Synopsis: Maternal instincts manifest in strange and unique ways for the Hierodules. Combine the perversion of the Blood with the perspective of the Matriarch of the di Milan and the Path Material, and toss in a little spice to create the paradigm of this faithful Acolyte. Fiercely protective, sinfully degenerate, and coolly pragmatic, Alais often resembles an elder Daeva in her magnetism and passions. Yet, Blood wills out and she has many qualities of the Shadows as well. Is it any wonder, as she was raised in tandem by Xavier Ellison (Christopher Williams, US2002021540) and Julia Kincaid (Spider Wingate, US2002023335)?
Alais is a consummate scholar, philosopher, occultist, and spiritualist, with polished manners, charm, and grace. She has been a slave, a courtesan, and an aristocrat, playing politics, ritual, and academics as a maestro on a Stradivarius. It has been whispered in illicit circles that she utterly lacks a conscience, though such is countered with rumors that she serves as the living embodiment of the lost conscience for another Acolyte.
Like her sire, the Egyptian born Mekhet shows a penchant for travel that has often been highlighted as proof her insanity. Whether or not she has sired more than one childer is a point of debate; there is but one that she acknowledges to have been created from her own Blood. However, she has been known to claim adoptive prerogative over several Kindred, of varying clans and bloodlines.
Unlike her sire, Alais is a dedicated Acolyte that has never questioned nor renounced her affiliation with the Circle of the Crone. Once involved with a mysterious Egyptian based faction, a preeminent scholar of Judiasm and other diverse religions, she is a proponent of The Path Material.
Alais succumbed to torpor following World War II. Recently returned to the Danse, there is no telling what the future will bring and what effect has been wrought over several decades of the Sleep of Ages . . .
