Entry of Little Importance

I have this apocalyptic sore throat. It's gotten a little better, but yesterday, whenever I swallowed, my whole head would wrack with this throbbing shockwave of pain almost whenever I moved my head. It was only on the right side of my throat, though, but that's the important side. The pain went all the way to my right ear. Man, I am always getting these things. Am I just weak, or can I blame my constant sore throats on pollution or something?

Applied for a few internships this summer, unlikely I'll get any of them. I wish I could work at Za's over the summer, but we'll see. I might have to get a new job if I can't, meaning I'd have to apply now.

FUN FACT THAT I LEARNED IN ECON TODAY:
Did you know that the standard QWERTY keyboard - the one we've been using since the 1870s - is actually ridiculously inefficient? Before the developent of QWERTY, typewriter keyboards had a different layout with the most commonly used letter positioned closer to one another. However, since typewriters were pieces of crap back then, super-fast typists could actually jam up the keys with their incredible speed. So, in order to deliberately slow down these typists, someone made up the QWERTY keyboard which positions the most commonly used letters farther apart. During World War II, the U.S. got rid of its QWERTYs and had all of its secretaries use the DSK keyboard - a design which moved said letters closer. Fast typists were a lot more productive, so much so that the cost of the transition was recouped in only ten days. So, in the long run, it's worth it to switch from what we're using now to the DSK system. Why don't we do this? Because even though the benefit may be higher, it's too much of a cost to the individual. Ask yourself: how much is it worth it to you to change your keyboard? How much do you type on a daily basis? Do you really care enough to change? Most people don't, and that's why we've been using the same, actually inferior, system for more than a hundred years.
