So, it's nearly 2:30PM. I have written roughly 1200 words of 2000. I have said everything I want to say about language in the novels. Sure, I could dredge out more examples and beat my point to death, but ... I don't feel like it.

I guess I'd better... make stuff up?

I have written more difficult essays, but that seems to be the problem here. When things seem simple in English lit, it's usually because you don't understand them properly. Which worries me a bit. My essay hasn't really talked in detail about the background critical material I read, and that worries me; but nothing I've said aligns very closely with their arguments.

I can't help but feel that I've been writing a pretty ordinary analysis, not one utilising the analysis stances that have been the focus of the lectures. Did I just miss the point?

Oh well, best get back to it eh?
