So, question, we're not allowed to use stock?

Adding stock images to the given images is fine; blending between the given images is fine. Just no using M*A*S*H images that aren't given in the challenge.

now if only i could remember to enter (a slight problem of having a computer with internet and a different computer with photoshop)

I've been wondering this for a while. Is it okay to use brushes or textures made by other people in icons?

Yep - brushes, textures, stock images, are all okay. The only thing you can't use are other M*A*S*H images.
