i noticed when you link to screencaps on imageshack that the aspect ratio is off most of the times. is this something to do with the uploading process over there? i was thinking of getting an account on that site myself, but the distortion of the pictures keeps bugging me and i am undecided.

Hmm...I've never had a problem with aspect ratio on imageshack. Which caps do you think are distorted?

Okay, after asking around a bit, it seems like people using a widescreen monitor see the caps as a bit distorted, but they look normal to those using a standard 4:3 monitor (which is the aspect ratio they were created in). Maybe this is the issue? Are you on a widescreen monitor?

At any rate, I apologize for the distortion you see but don't know what to do about it seeing as the aspect ratio is fine on my monitor. I hope it doesn't cause too many icon making problems for you :/

And about imageshack - you don't (unless they've changed things drastically since I started using it) need to create an account to upload images there. The account is really only useful if you want to find your direct links again. I don't use any of the account features; it doesn't have a nice system for galleries or anything. So I'd say go ahead and try it out without an account and see if you like it.

Is it only when they're 720x480 that they're distorted for you, or the other sizes as well?

Well, anyway, since no one has entered yet, I figured it was safe to break the links and reupload...I've resized the images and hopefully they'll look okay for you now. Let me know.
