[Action]
[Germany, on the ninth floor, is pacing. After going to see Pakistan, and then getting the copy of the Major's notes which were left behind, he's not exactly having the best day in the world. Well, not that he generally is sunshine and rainbows but, well, you get the picture.
Anyway back to the point, he's pacing. Reading the notes with the nth time since he'd picked them up, the sickening feeling in the pit of his stomach like everything he'd read from that time, but on some elevated level due to the fact it's about countries which is so much more personal, for him. And at the same time, that personal relevance, in it's cold and calculated terms, felt so ...
Maybe you didn't kick the habits of guilt. Like war movies you watch habitually despite the fact it hurts to be reminded, but you do it anyway and read everything that's written about the time.
Pakistan didn't deserve what had happened to her. She had never done anything to anyone. He wanted - okay, needed - to act. But he couldn't just go guns-a-blazing into the Major's room and shoot him. First of all, the guy would just come back.
Hence the pacing, anyway. Because for some reason pacing helps figure out how to deal with this.]
