Well, I dunno when I last posted but...
I went to Reading festival, which I enjoyed, although in some ways I wished that it was a bit of a smaller festival, it did feel a bit weird. I'm not really sure how, kinda unfriendly - although I was only there for one day so I could be wrong. Perhaps I'm just use to the juggling conventions type things, or just smaller gatherings of people.
When I went to Glastonbury I spent as little amount of time as possible around the main stages. I preferred the stalls, circus field, healing field, and the cabaret tent and circus tent. It was much more friendly and chilled out.
Anyway.. I met up with some of my friends, who I hadn't seen in a while so that was good. I went to see Less Than Jake, which I really enjoyed, as their a good band. I went right down the front for about two thirds of their set. I flukley met up with some of my mates who I didn't even know where there in the middle of the mosh-pit. I am fairly use to mosh pits and usually can take a fair amount of battering/people crowd-surfing over me I was getting quite beaten - and I lost my friends, so near the end I went to the outside to watch from there. I got my head kicked in, and my *new* water flask nicked which was kinda annoying.
I went to see [Spunge], who I have seen before, and met, they were also pretty good, but I was so knackered from the last band I kind stayed near the outside for that gig as well. The Get Up Kids were next, the same time as Mitch Benn (a comedian) I went stood around and watch The Get Up Kids piss around and not really play much, then they started to play a song really badly so I went to see Mitch Benn.
Mitch Benn was all right, but not half as funny as the last two times I saw him, (Glastonbury, and Jesters) and it was all jokes I had seen before. However I did find my brother and his friend, so we put our money together to get his new cd. I got the very last one too. :-) Thinking about it I'm kinda annoyed I didn't stay around for The Get Up Kids as my friend said that they were good after I left. Ah well. I did fill in a survey about how I voted for free sweets, which was good, although prolly not very helpful for the people conducted the survey. My answers were, other, other, other, The Monster raving loony patry,.. etc. But hey, they were giving away free sweets, what do you expect.
I got a head band (cos my hair is getting in my eyes) a pair of trousers which are too small around my bum, but still very nice, and a really nice T-shirt.
On Monday I went around to Jons, and went to juggling, then to the pub (shock!). Tuesday went off to see Reign of Fire with Jon, and a whole other bunch of jugglers. I enjoyed it, but you do have to suspend disbelief, as there are lots of things which were like 'But if they have no resources, how did they get all petrol for the tanks?' and so on. But I did enjoy it. I went looking around everywhere for a small laptop/big Psion type-thingy. I'm looking for, something that is small and light to carry around (most important bit) which only need to be capable of running a good word processing program (with spell check), so that I can print out work/save onto floppy then print. Also I don't really want to spend much money (although is financed with parents + other better laptop being sold). Hmm, any ideas? I'm hoping that I can get in fairly cheap as don't need much hard-disk space, good processor, or graphics card, or even a cd-rom drive.
My mum had an operation today, to get a bone sample, everyone on at home is really happy today, my dad is excited with a new contract he is getting through and my mum was high on morphine (from operation) hence her hip didn't hurt today. :-) Also I got the train home, but it was cancelled but I got a *free* coach, which dropped me off about 1 min walk away form my house, rather than the 10 min drive from the station. That made me happy.
I had a very nice and relaxing time at Jons and came home very happy. :-)
I got my glasses last Friday, and I got some putty. It is similar to that putty on thinkgeek, the same actually, but cheaper. I got it from www.puttyworld.com and it is really fun to play with, fairly cheap, and it shipped from the US in a few days. So I have been playing with that/getting it in clothes.
