And later say it's all our fault.
“Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious...”
And when I thought about it I realized that I was completely and utterly confused. Though I wasn't sure I knew exactly what "it" was that I was confused about.
If there's one thing I've learned from salsa lessons thus far it is that I should think less. I didn't realize how much time I spend doing that until it's pointed out. I'm pretty much a professional. I should so be asleep right now.
I read the abridged version of He's Just Not That Into You in just under an hour. It was amusingly insightful. I'll have to read the unabridged version.
fave quote #1:
"The statistics are bleak. But don't use statistics to keep you down or keep you frightened. You can't do anything with these statistics except scare yourself. So I say, 'Fuck statistics.' It's your life--how dare you not have faith in it! The only story that has ever helped me live my life successfully is the story of faith; I believe that life will turn out well.
More fervently, I believe that you have no other choice than to believe that."
fave quote #2
"You already have one asshole. You don't need another."
fave quote #3
"Stow that bad-news cargo on the sure-to-sink ship. Because that ship is about to hit Sad Island and we don't want you on it."
fave quote #4
"Don't be flattered that he misses you...the only reason he can miss you is because he's choosing, every single day, not to be with you."
