January brought flurries of lovestruck and a lot of firsts along with the stresses of straining long hours of medical classes.
February- spent valentines day as a group with Steven Ernest and my sister- dinner at bennigans and then we all watched Little Manhattan at the apartment. Steven went all over town trying to find the notebook for me :).
March- Spent St. Patrick's day at Disney. The first kidney stone experience occurred, after several xrays and scans told there there were several in both kidneys, dr couldn't determine the cause. Had to drop medical classes due to time spent in hospital (missed class). Mom diagnosed with cancer. Applied to UCF and got accepted. Got first ever stitches.
April- Mom finished 23rd radiation treatment. Steven suprises me on my lunch breaks, once with fried ice cream, mmm.(Though melted by the time I got to it). I always remember when people do nice things however small they may seem. Purchased a portable dvd rewriter and began burning movies like mad. Ordered alcohol in a restaurant for the first time ever. (I guess after a month like the one before this, anyone would start drinking)
May- I turned 25, had a small party with a few friends present including Priyanka. Had margaritas. Darcy turned 11. Ernest turned 24. Steven and I went on a mother's day shopping spree. Appeal to BCC over disputed charges finally approved by the dean.
June- Lost medical insurance. Moved from part-time to full-time at work although I had sworn all along I'd soon find a new job.
July- Hospital, diagnosed with pneumonia. Krystal and Ernest are engaged. Mom, Ernest and I all get toothaches at the same time.
August- Finally bought a new digital camera. Got word that great-grandmother had taken a turn for the worse and we needed to see her asap. Emergency leave from work and took a road trip to KY. Pay raise at work. Started first semester at UCF.
September- Krystal turns 21. Juggling going to class full-time and work full-time, and learning to juggle, literally.
October- Midterms. Studying. Class and work. Passed another kidney stone. Dad visits and we go to medieval times.
November- Thanksgiving. Work and class. Great grandmother passes away.
December- Finals, get straight A's and made the Dean's list. Mandatory overtime begins at work. Work on christmas eve puts damper on plans. Break all traditions but spend hours opening presents (everyone was more in a giving spirit this year apparently).
And now, on new year's eve, I'm typing this year in review from my cubicle at work. I wish everyone all the best in 2007. Here's to better jobs, decent pay, time with family and friends, love, peace, laughter, good luck, and good health! Have a drink for me and hope that I'll get to leave work in enough time to enjoy myself tonight. HA. :) Take care everyone.
